Exclamation What factors determine the price increase of our tuition?

What factors determine the price increase of our tuition?

Recently, Cal State tuitions' increased. The previous fee is shown here (pdf format). And not only the tuition increased, our quarter parking permit increased from $54 to $72. I do not know if the average textbook price increased ..... but I do know paying $105 for CIS 101 textbook is ridiculous.

The increase of the fee has an affect to all students (not sure about staffs) and our lifestyle. It means many of us need to work longer hours (if you are receiving financial aid, take advantage of it).

Factors that determine price increase:
  • Development of the parking structure
  • The new Engineering building
  • The new pond (name?) next to the CLA building
  • New shuttle bus, replacing the trams
  • The new dorm (apartments?) buildings
  • New food dining center with the gym
Am I missing anything?

You can thank Gray Davis for this.

And in case you've not noticed yet, Calpoly Pomona is not taking any new students for Spring '04 due to the budget cuts...

Also, I paid close to $450 for three textbooks and a lab manual on Thursday.

That's something new.
That means less traffic in the parking lot.

I believe the price increase affects everyone, including the staffs.
Some staffs may have gotten a reduce cut on their salary due to constructions and development of new structures (Complex?).

And our tuition will not be decreasing but will increasing as the year goes by.
I need to graduate quick.

All I know is that the state (California) budget deficit has a great impact on all schools in urban cities.

And isn't student somehwhere on Governor Scwarzenegger's top list?
