THE FACEBOOK

Hey what's up? I dont know if you have heard of it, but there's this cool site that keeps social events and colleges connected. Its called the facebook. Unfortunatly, while Cal Poly SLO is apart of it, Cal Poly Pomona is not. I wanna change that.

check out the site and lets try and get CPP added to its huge list of universities.

Is Facebook similar to Xanga or Friendster?
I prefer Xanga (online blog and has a Cal Poly Pomona blogring) to facebook if the function is similar.

Similar to Friendster, except you need a college email to register, which is good if you're looking for old classmates from college or high school.

The Facebook

Anyone heard of The Facebook? It's a website, kind of like a social room for college and high school people to meet up. The difference between this social room and other online social rooms is that you use your real name, your real email and your real information, so that if you're looking for someone from your high school or someone from another university, you might find them there. No need of deciphering who is who among all those pseudonames. Just type the name of that person or search for your classmates from your high school and you can find them there.

It's pretty cool cuz I found a lot of cal poly people there. I also found a lot of friends from other universities and even high school people I haven't seen in years.

Try it at www.thefacebook.com. It's a pretty cool place to make connections and all sorts of stuff.

You just have to search by their name in the global field. Otherwise you are searching your own school. Facebook is primarily your college, then secondarily connects to other colleges.
