does anybody on campus know the new dc++ hub address or if we even have one anymore?

umm yeah you have to have the address to the hub in order to connect to it questionmark. the IT people dont even want us using it so im not gonna be calling them.

The word on the street is... calpolydc.zapto.org

If you're not in the dorms, it probably doesn't work. I don't know if there's one set up for the suites or village.

hey every1, i live outside the campus & i'm trying 2 connect 2 DC++, but its just not working i tried it in my friend's dorms & it worked, but like right now, its telling me that the connection timed out or smg, i don't know, i tried 2 Hubs:
calpolydc.hopto.org & calpolydc.zapto.org & it still didn't work... any1 have any ideas plllzzzzz i could really use some help, thx

The Cal Poly DC Hub is setup within the campus resident network (I believe the dorms and suites have their own network rather then sharing one whole campus network). Only computers within the campus resident network will be able to access it.

I don't think it would work from the library, the dorms have their own network seperated by firewalls. I don't think the new campus suites could access the DC Hub (which is set up the dorms) because the suites are on a seperate network. The only way to get on the HUB would be to get into any of the dorm buildings and plug your laptop into their network, like in the study room or something.

There's nothing really good on the HUB anyway, everyone has the same old stuff.
