CPP dorm question!

hey guys, i will be attending cal poly pomona in the fall and i'm interested in living at the dorms.my question is.. is it worth staying in a dorm or would it be better to get an apartment? o, and a whats the shower and toilet situation? also how's the atmosphere living at the dorms ?

oh yeah and my friend wants to know if people disturb you (ie. throw wet toilet paper over the stall) while you do your "business"

I think as a first time student there, living at the dorms would be worthwhile. There will be times where you may not enjoy it, but I think it’s a great way to meet people. You will meet everyone in your similar situation and statistically, you do better in school by living on campus. So why not give it a try at least for a school year? As for the disturbing thing, I think everyone pretty much respects each other.

i stayed in dorm as frosh. sure aren't late for class unless alarm does not go off, and parking woes are reduced. key is to find the right floor.

I will be an entering freshman at CPP this fall as well. Are there any particular dorms that I should apply for. For example at Cal Poly SLO if you are a guy you should apply for Santa Lucia. :0)

recommend you call the university housing ofc.
as i recall they have certain floors for certain majors and interest areas, which is cool for new frosh so you can meet ppl you can study with.
i think one floor of a dorm is guys and the next girls...and you know what THAT can mean!

I heard the "first year, first step" living area is popular. Downside.. you have to write an essay and send it in with the application -__- which i still needa do=\
