Lightbulb CPF Service

Service that Cal Poly Forum offers for the members:

Resume in PDF Format (What is PDF?)
Nowadays, employers and intern recruiters are accepting or demanding resumes via e-mail or on a website. Wouldn't you like to impress your prospective employer with a professional copy of your resume in a Portable Document Format (PDF) rather than an ordinary Microsoft Word document or a notepad? Adobe Reader is a free software tool that lets you view and print PDF files and most likely, it comes pre-loaded in new PCs so that PDF resumes can viewed by your employer.

Can you tell the difference?

(Sample images will be posted by or before Monday.)

So how does these work?
The member must send their copy of the resume with their username and e-mail address for service. The file must either be a Microsoft Word file, Notepad, Wordpad, or a OpenOffice Text Document for the PDF conversion.

Sounds good so far. But what is the fee?
There is no fee for the members of Cal Poly Forum. However, due to schedule and limited time, CPF can only accept one request per member and per month.

Where do I send in the file for the service?

Hi MandyMindy.
I will setup an attachment feature on this thread for the members to upload directly. The conversion service is only for resumes at the moment.

When I upload a copy of my resume, can anyone download my resume file or only the admin or a moderator? I wouldn't want anyone to download my resume.

Sorry. I haven't completed the upload feature for this thread.
I will setup so when a member uploads their resume file, only the administrator will be able to download the file and convert it into a pdf file.
