Contest #02: Create New Logo for Cal Poly Forums.
Prize: $25 Paypal or $25 Amazon.com or Bronco Bucks or iTunes Gift Certificate.
Rules: * Anyone can enter.
* No limit on the submission.
* Please use the Attachment feature on this thread or use your webspace (Cal Poly Pomona or ISP webhost) to post your entry.
* Post your entry only on this thread.
* Avoid copyright infringement.
* Need to use Orange and any of the 3 blue colors found on the forum template. I'll post the color # later on.
* Dimension Preferance: Minimum 125 x 125
* Particular Text and Slogan: "Cal Poly Forums" and "Discuss. Interact. Off-Campus."
* Only one winner.
* Deadline: Monday, February 23, 2004

You should instructions such as how large the logo should be (width and length) and any specific image you would like to put in.

I didn't use orange, but I think it turned out all right.

The contest is for a logo and not a banner/header. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Additional Info:
Color Specifications: #D6DEEA, #E9EDF3, #003366 and #FE8903
Dimensions: Minimum 175x130
Output Format: Prefer JPEG and GIF
Great Example: Simplicity
A good example is the logo for mac rumors (www.macrumors.com). Simple. A simple image on the left, text "Cal Poly Forums" on the top, a divider, and the bottom with "Discuss. Interact. Off-Campus."

Hi Mehul, looking for a logo.
Preferred dimensions - a minimum 125 x 125.
Particular slogan - "Discuss. Interact. Off-Campus." (<-- without the quotation). And "Cal Poly Forums." (<--without the quotation and period)

I like the second logo Fred.

Not bad. You can remove the Online Community text. And replace the book image to something else. I don't have a hint what to replace it with.

Those are some nice logos, I like the ones from fred. I would like to know what program do you guys use to create those logos. I would like to participate in this logo contest. I would appreciate your response.

ok socio I use Photoshop 7 from www.adobe.com but you can get graphics packages which are alot cheaper for example Paint Shop Pro from www.jasc.com I don't like it but i did start off on that
