| Newcomer | Commuting to CPP Hey all, I'm a pretty new member here and hope to be attending CPP in the fall, but i also plan on commuting to school, which i am sure some of you do. I'm just curious how that is working out for people, is it a hassle? My drive is going to be about a 30 min drive taking the 210 E to the 57 and so on. I've only driven it once, but am wondering about traffic conditions, parking on campus, all those kinds of things if anyone has any input |

| Guru | it would be better if you take the 210E, then 605S, then 10E, because there is an exit on the 10E that's right next to campus. In contrast, if you take the 57S, it would still be like another 20 minutes of street driving, because LOTS of ppl use that from O.C. and Riverside. |

![]() | You should be against traffic, excpet for the 57 south part. It all depends on what time of day you make that drive. The 57 south stinks up until about 10AM. I commuted 54 miles roundtrip for all four years as an undergrad. I moved to the village when I started grad school and I am amazed at how much free time I have. I dont think I would have appreciated living in the campus apts if I hadnt commuted all those years. |

![]() | Farthest CPP commuter I believe to be the farthest commuter to CPP to my knowledge.. I heard of San Diego but i dunno.. I commute from Northridge 101 S 134 E 210 E 57 S My advice would be to take early classes because you get close parking and no traffic.. but if you cant do that then do what the others said and use the 605S to the 10E I plan to move closer soon =| |

![]() | I KNOW THE BEST ROUTE OF ALL. I used to live near Pasadena and take the 57 South daily..... The best thing for our newbie to do is to take the 210 East to the 57 South then exit at Via Verde and drive down Via Verde until he can pick up the 10 EAST and then exit on Kellogg right into Parking Lot F..... I know it sounds complicated.... but it really is the best way.... exiting on Temple means another 15 minutes and that isn't even considering the chance that a train might stop by....... Plus...... I used to take the 57 South and then merge onto the 10 WEST. Exit Via Verde... turn left and go under the freeway and get right back on the freeway at Via Verde - exit on Kellogg... when I started utilizing Via Verde it cut my driving time in school by at least 15 minutes.

![]() | Actually, the best route yet is taking the 210 Southbound and merging on to the 71 East (towards Corona), exiting on S. Campus Drive and then finding parking on F Lot. It only takes about 15 minutes total. Guaranteed.
