Cheerleading @ Pomona

Hey guys,
I have been a dancer all my life and was recently informed that CPP has a cheerleading squad. I thought that this might be a great way to get to know people as well as quench my passion for dance. What do you guys know about the cheerleading squad at CPP? Any information and thoughts on this idea of mine would be excellent!!

hot!!!

we have both a cheerleading team and a pep band and they are HOT!!!!

since our teams have been winning so many championships the teams have been doing roadies. i was on the bus with both groups for a basketball roadie to another CSU--totally cool!

i think the cheer squad will have spring tryouts. call the poly athletic dept for details. i think rana will want to see you in those tiny outfits!

So the cheerleading team and the pep band work together? I know that they are holding tryouts on the 21st of May. I am planning on attending however I haven't gotten all the details yet.

I danced for the San Francisco Ballet Company when I was younger. When I got older I picked up jazz and tap as well. I also did a little bit of hip hop while I was on the cheerleading squad at my old high school.

You may want to look into this more... but I always heard that Cheerleaders get priority registration due to the fact the university considers them athletes. If this is true, it is a major plus some majors are difficult to get all the classes you need to graduate.

When I was an undergrad @ Cal Poly there was 1 or 2 male cheerleaders. They do limit the number of cheerleaders & there are try-outs so not everyone makes it. Trust me, there was a time or two I really thought I could learn to cheer just to get that priority registration...
