The SAT exam has been revised in 2005, modifying and lengthening the reasoning section of the exam. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SAT#SAT_Reasoning_Te st for more info. BTW, 2400 is the perfect score now rather than the former 1600.

Remember to calculate your cumulative sophomore and junior GPA, excluding grades earned from irrelevant course (i.e. physical education, art, extra curricular activity, etc.). If your calculated GPA within those period is 3.0, you might or might not have a chance at Cal Poly Pomona. Cross your fingers. If 1910 SAT score is considered above the nations average, you should be in good hands.

If you are resident, I believe all you need is 2.5 GPA to get in. However that's for undeclared.

My buddy and I both had 3.0s and roughly equiv SAT scores. We both applied for computer science. I had taken some AP classes, and got in. He did not.

I believe the major that you apply for affects your chances of getting in. As well as the level of classes you take.

Good luck!

The Civil Engineering department is HUGE. I do not know if it is impacted, but I do know it is huge.

jjiinngg, I'm glad that you are looking at Cal Poly Pomona. Just to let you know. Cal Poly Pomona at this point does not consider the writing prortion of the SATs. Therefore when calculating your score only add the verbal and the quanitivite sections, from what you said your scores are you are looking at a 1310. Pairing that with a 3.0 GPA, chances at getting in are good. Keep those grades up.

Additionally, Civil Engineering is not an impacted major, nor is computer science.
