![]() | The California Primary Feb. 5 even though i usually post about athletics related stuff it's high time to start a thread about the most exciting political season we've seen in anyone's memory. i was a boy when JFK bolted onto the national scene and became president and was inspired by him. but the vietnam war and other stuff sent me to the GOP, particularly during the Reagan era. now i am mesmerized by the passion and ability of Obama. i intend to vote for him in our primary Feb. 5 as i am registered as an independent. he unifies this nation across all creeds, ages and ideas. as a result i have become an Obama precinct captain. on the GOP side i like McCain. he is unlike most politicos in that he tells the truth and lets the chips fall where they may. neither choice is a party insider. i like that a lot. let's get some dialogue going about the candidates for each party. |

![]() | This is my first time that I'm actually interested in the elections this early of the year.. Each candidate had strong quality that differentiates themselves in both parties. But as for now, I have not heard enough from the each candidate themselves on where they stand on vast majority of issues. I mean, I know they had debates and stuff but sometimes I just hope they just drop all the finger pointing that usually gets in the news and tell us exactly where they stand. Until then I'm all open ears. |

![]() | i'm hoping that the total intelligence and good sense of john edwards will throw his support behind obama and stop the clinton war wagon. we've had way too much travelgate, lewinskygate, and vast right wing conspiracies. otherwise, monica and slick willie move on over to the supreme court. can you imagine someone facing an impeachment hearing and who committed perjury on our highest court? independents will have a very tough time choosing between obama and mccain in the general election. i will be among them. republicans on the other hand want billary on the ballot for the high negatives she brings to the table. they don't want to take on obama's enthusiasm and sense of hope against the bush record. |

![]() | It seems that a large percentage of the younger generation (Y Gens) have a particular fond with Presidential candidate Barack Obama. I'm still open as I haven't done much reading about the running candidates.

![]() | i'm wondering if increasingly he's the guy for ALL people, x-man. getting the endorsement of the LA Times was a nice stroke, but winning over La Opinion was huge. no more can anybody say he has no latino support. and the Times hasn't endorsed anybody for president during the primaries since 1972. word has it that oprah, michelle obama and caroline kennedy are over at pauley pavilion today, and even without the candidate it's supposed to be another gigantic crowd. does anybody feel the momentum growing? |

![]() | let's just say i have, as hillary would mention, "experience," okay? the polls are packed this morning. the more people show up the worse things will get for willie and miss tammy wynette. california once had billary up by 35 points. now we're a tossup state. that's incredible. and even more amazing is that there's talk that not only can obama win the state but so can romney. i thought he was buried. |

![]() | Yeah I noticed it too with the McCain ads. I wonder too how they pay per click as they don't disclose it. Heck I wonder how much budget has been allocated just for the pre-Super Tuesday campaigning (web ads, print media, tv). ![]() Get your votes in folks. ![]()
