Can Cal Poly SLO make the big dance

Cal Poly San Luis Obispo is in the Big West final against Long Beach State. The winner of the game will advanced to the Div 1 Tournament and the loser probally goes to NIT. The game is at 8 on ESPN 2. Jay you might know this for sure but I think SLO has never been to the big dance in div I. Anyways since our Broncos are out I will be rooting for the Mustang to win tommorrow and get into the tourney. I remember a couple of years ago we were thinking that our Broncos can beat the Mustangs, but I guess that change.

we probably could have beaten the mustangs early in the year but they got a heckova lot better over the season while we improved only a small amount. they were a young team that matured under coach bromley's leadership. he's taken some hits lately but they did reach the big west finals in 2003. yes, they've never danced since moving up to D1, and i'll be pulling for them tonight too--though they must shut down that 49er stud nixon to have a chance. beach is loaded and senior laden. the 'stangs might be a year away from the prom.

Its half time this is one of the most entertaining game I have seen this week. Maybe because both team like to run the ball and shoot threes. Anyways it look like its going to be a great second half.

Your right Jay Long Beach have to much fire power and defeat SLO with a big second half. I agree with you watching SLO play they will be a contender for the bid next year.

i wish the two coaches would schedule an exhibition game next fall.
we haven't played the mustangs since the mid 1990s, and before that there was a very high energy rivalry. obviously broms would not schedule such a game to count and we know why. but next year poly north should be favored to win the big west--and with good recruits we could be in the mix in the ccaa.
