THE 411: OVER 3,000 STUDENTS CAN'T BE WRONG
Getting A's and B's can be the result of good planning and knowing when to ask for help. A key to academic success is taking advantage of programs like the ASI University-wide Tutoring Program and the University Writing Center, which help over 3,000 students annually.

The Learning Resource Center is home to the ASI University-wide Tutoring Program where tutors are available for one-to-one and group tutoring for every student in need of assistance in any Cal Poly Pomona course. Tutoring sessions must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance and there is a $4 hourly fee. The LRC also provides free study materials and tutoring to students preparing for the math portion of the CBEST, as well as the ELM and the MDPT.

The University Writing Center provides free, one-to-one tutoring and Graduation Writing Test preparation assistance.

Other programs also have tutorial services but certain eligibility requirements need to be met. For a listing of programs, go to page 46 and 47 in the 2005-06 Student Handbook & Planner.
Learning Resource Center - Ground Floor, University Library, bldg. 15 - 869-3502
University Writing Center - University Library, Room 8, bldg. 15 - 869-5343
