PARTICIPATE IN A NUTRITIONAL STUDY
A kinesiology department grad student is looking for physically active females between the ages of 20-30 for a sports nutritional study. The CSU Board of Trustees has a policy requiring its presidents to be reviewed every three years and it is now time for the review of President Ortiz. THE 411 - GET READY FOR WINTER QUARTER REGISTRATION

Planning your schedule and selecting your courses are important decisions that can be particularly challenging. As you think about what classes to take and how to plan your schedule, consider the following:

• Familiarize yourself with your graduation requirements.
• Check out the road plan on your major department's website, paying attention to the balance of core, support and general education courses throughout your college years.
• Determine how many units you are required to take and complete each quarter to receive financial aid or special services.
• If you have not completed your GE English and math requirements, sign up for the appropriate level of English and math/statistics.
• Examine the level of difficulty and your readiness for each course by reviewing the prerequisites in the University Catalog.
• Consider how each course relates to your academic goals.
• See your major academic advisor for course recommendations.

What a step-by-step approach might look like:

1. Look at the requirements you need to fulfill.
2. Consider what is most vital to complete this quarter.
3. Read the University Catalog for information regarding course descriptions and prerequisites.
4. Check the Schedule of Classes and the online schedule to see which courses are being offered, as well as the days, times and restrictions for each course.
5. Establish a tentative schedule and select alternate choices.
6. Get your Enrollment Appointment from BroncoDirect and write it down. Winter Quarter 2006 appointments are available Oct. 19.
7. Take care of any holds or fines you may have like an immunization hold, library fine, etc. Winter Quarter 2006 deadline to clear holds is October 27. Holds may be viewed online by clicking on "View My Holds" under Personal Portfolio in BroncoDirect.
8. Make an appointment to discuss your tentative schedule with your academic advisor.

GOLDEN KEY CHAPTER EARNS INTERNATIONAL HONORS
