Name of Event: Army ROTC at Cal Poly
Date: Tuesday, November 9, 2004
Time: 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Location: University Quad
Brief Description: The Army ROTC will be on campus to promote a positive example of the Army ROTC program at Cal Poly Pomona and to honor and recognize our Veterans for Veterans Day. Keynote address by Lt. Col. Jeffrey Douville, a Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) military science professor at Claremont McKenna College



Name of Event: Basketball Tournament
Brought to you by Cal Poly Pomona, Bronco Fitness Center, and ASI Recreational Sports
Date: Saturday, November 13, 2004
Time: Games start 9 a.m. sharp
Location: Kellogg Gym
Brief Description: Registration is $40 per team. If registering day of, arrive no later than 8 a.m. Space is limited to 20 teams.



Name of Event: Diwali Hindu Festival of Lights Celebration
Brought to you by Asian and Pacific Islander Student Center and Indian Student Association
Date: Tuesday, November 16, 2004
Time: 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Location: Cultural Centers Lawn, near Bldg 95
Brief Description: Diwali is celebrated by Hindus around the world. The festival of lights symbolizes the victory of righteousness and the lifting of spiritual darkness. Food, dancing, music and lights will be included.

Date: Thursday, November 18, 2004
Time: 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Location: Bronco Student Center, Ursa Major
Brief Description: Performances by Hip-Hop band Trek Life and other special guests.



Name of Event: Madden Bowl II
Brought to you by the Bronco Fitness Center, ASI Recreational Sports, and ASI B.E.A.T.
Date: Friday November 19, 2004
Time: 12 noon
Location: Bronco Student Center, Round Table Lounge
Brief Description: No Entry fee!! Only 32 spots available, sign up at the ASI Recreational Sports office or at the door. Win cash, gear, movie tickets, or even paid admission to Madden Challenge LA!



Name of Event: Cans For Bands Concert

Brought to you by ASI B.E.A.T. and M.E.I.S.A.

Time: 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Location: Bronco Student Center, Ursa Major
Brief Description: Enjoy a concert and help your community. Cans For Bands brings you performances by Colour, Controlling The Famous and D.J. IcyIce all for just two canned goods per person to benefit Pomona’s Beta Hunger Program.



Name of Event: 6th Annual Healing the Earth Powwow
Brought to you by the Native American Student Center and Mt. SAC’s Native American Intertribal Student Alliance
Date: Saturday, November 20, 2004
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Location: Rose Garden
Brief Description: Traditional intertribal one-day powwow featuring a tipi village, storytelling, children’s arts and crafts, Native American jewelry, opportunity drawings, Native foods, giveaways and dance exhibitions. Admission is free!
