![]() | Broncos in San Francisco Tonight this is bizarre. the weekly release on the athletics web site talks about the vanguard game almost three weeks ago...this appears to be the weekend series on nobody's radar screen, not even our own athletic department. assuming san fran and monterey are semester schools there may be almost nobody going to these games, which will be an advantage to our men. it will be like playing on a neutral floor. next week we are home with chico and stanislaus. this run of four opponents is the weakest in the league, and that means we should be 11-1 and possibly ranked first in the region when the first rankings are released. |

![]() | your right Jay the Broncos should be 11-1 after next week, but remember what a bad Chico tean did to the Broncos last year. They came into Kellogg and shot lights out. The Broncos can not take any team for granted. I think they need to have two blowouts game this weekend against San Francisco State and Monterey to show the Broncos are the dominant team in the league. |

![]() | Just got a chance to do a quick check from the web about today's game: Broncos came away with another win, but lot closer then I expected. But a win is a win. ![]() | It look like the Broncos blew a double digit lead against S.F. State, but the funny thing is that San Bernardino did the same thing against Monterey. Like you said PL28 a win is a win. Look like the reason why SF State was close because they made 10 3 pts shot. Reading the report it sound like the Vanguard game and the second Western Washington. Second I watch Monterey play San Bernardino on a video feed. Here my opinion of Monterey. Monterey is scrappy team with alot of heart. They came back from a 21point lead and cut it to 4 in the second half. The Broncos need to get back on defense it seem like they tried to push the ball more than a average team. One positive for tommorrow game is Monterey only had eight players suited and probally will have the same tommorrow. I think Monterey will be tired from their game against San Bernardino and the Broncos will win by double digits. Monterey might have a live video feed for the game so check their website for the feed. |

![]() | Developments Around the League BRONCOS at SF State: we win our seventh straight to go 4-0 and 8-1 our best start since 1998. highlights include our shooting 50 per cent from the field, not easy to do on the road, and 72 per cent at the stripe. and kudos to the monster man, larry gordon, for yet another double double. question: what is going on with melvyn? he did not even play one minute last night. is he hurt again or in the doghouse? COYOTES at MBay: ivan johnson is baaaaack...and that's bad news for everybody else in the league. he lit it up for 20 last night and is getting his foul-prone game under more control. good news that the otters kept it close, and yes, let's hope we have fresher legs tonight. the kelp bed is built like an old aircraft hanger...and since this is the old fort ord, it probably once housed helicopters. and like broncos, the 'yotes have won seven in a row. BAKE at Scott Peterson State: has anybody noticed that the runners are still undefeated in league play? and they stormed back from 18 down at half to win this one in warrior gym, not a pleasant venue for road teams. our pack the gym nite upcoming could spell a showdown of the two remaining unbeatens in league play if bake can steal one in chico tonight. LA at Chico: acker gym is THE toughest place to play in CCAA, unless uncle bob refs at humboldt. eagles got blown out in this one. UCSD at HSU: yep, uncle bob missed the game but his brother, uncle jeb, was officiating. jacks now have won five straight. agree with you lakdod, let's coast home tonight. time for some home cookin' next friday with the wildcats. |

i talked to melvyn a few weeks ago and he said he was fine. he also said he was not happy about his limited playing time. he certainly seemed fluid aplenty when he played, but of course he may have re-injured his knee recently. if he's gone we are going to miss, and possibly need, his senior experience in key crunch moments. | |

![]() | by the way, did you notice that once again there was a story in the local papers about the coyote game but nothing on our game? i am beginning to wonder why michelle gardner manages to get her story posted but pete marshall can't. in one instance the coyote game ended about twenty minutes later than ours did. huh? |

![]() | am watching the webstream for the ladies game and this is some kind of junior high gym at monterey...looks like the capacity is about 500 with a total of EIGHT people watching the game from one side of the stands....oops, three more people just showed up, make the crowd ELEVEN! no sound, just a cheesy video stream. beats nothing, i guess. |
