![]() | i think. we typically don't see anything posted on our own web site until almost the day of the event anymore, so am basing this one on a search of other schools around the area. we got spoiled during the paul helms era when we actually got timely sports information. but best i can tell we open at bren events center for a regular season game according to the irvine web site. chances are we'll have a scrimmage or exhibition in the week prior somewhere else on the road. we just don't have any money to get decent home games anymore OOC. hard to imagine we had BYU and north dakota state on our floor in recent memory. those were the days. and we beat both of them. larry gordon i presume is back to totally dominate in his senior season. but i now turn it over to da wizard of pomona, lakdod, for his much more thorough analysis. my only prediction is that our awesome pep band will continue to rev up the bronco faithful with even bigger and better music. ![]() :c ool: |

![]() | i give up. have spent an hour roaming other web sites looking for clues. the only thing i can find is that vanguard plays at our place on the 18th. absent any local sports information am presuming this is the home opener. and everyone else has their schedule posted other than us, even the little bible colleges. and don't get me started about how bad our web site is in comparison to the rest. |

![]() | semi following the basketball news this summer. I actually knew we had irvine in exhibition game about a month ago. the school have the schedule out but you have to find it through the master sports book schedule. we have a couple of freshman that looks promising on paper but we will see when the season starts and heard of a possible transfer but dont know. My concern about this year can the freshman make a solid contribution to this team because we need some big man help. who will step up and be the second scorer behind larry. Third who is our PG. Collins, waters, swift, harris, heck maybe jimmy need to take control of that position and make good decision in order for the team to have a chance to make a run to Boston. Fourth- hopefully DB work on free throw shooting because it was not pretty last year. I have heard coyotes are reloaded and ready to make another run which is a big surprise but we all know here that we own the coyotes in Kellogg. My idea to get more of the community involve move both game to the ontario arena or convince to play UCSD to play us on thursday and saturday for we can have a big crowd at both schools. Pep band will be awesome and I ran into the director yesterday and they have some new stuff which will be a great change. |

![]() | This may be old news but I never saw any confirmation or I missed it. . In speaking with a member of the athletic department I was told that we actually beat cp-slo last year in that closed game and it was taped. We need to see that film. |

![]() | bronco, man, that would be huge smack points to use against the vaunted DI mustangs. so we cleaned up at mott gym? that's a best kept secret. lakdod, the irvine site lists our game as regular season and not exhibition. i think that should be a nice roadie and will talk it up for a pep band trip. agree, larry needs help. i look for double and even triple teams on him unless others step up big time. bring hervey and jboyd back to hit some treys, and give sybesma another year at it. j |

![]() | hey, we have progress...we actually have a schedule posted on the bronco site at long last. and probably last posted in the conference. now the mystery. the irvine site lists us as their opener. the game is even listed as being broadcast on the radio. but our site shows no such contest. ordinarily exhibition games are posted as such. i might check the big west board to see what gives. as usual, we will be outsized by the anteaters. but also as usual, i await the team analysis from lakdod since we won't see anything like that on the bronco website until well into the winter. the OOC schedule sucks. i was just in the big west level arena known as the felix events center up at azusa...wow. awesome. and they're merely NAIA. if only we had an arena like that place. |

![]() | Okay I got to admit this season might be like two year ago. We need somebody to step up to help LG. I will be interested to see how this team work together. the PG nasser from the JC intrigue me. Played in some big game in his JC stint. Hopefully pg we been missing for a while. then summers from another JC played wr for a school. and the freshman center was a good TE in high school probally the next Daniels. Then another transfer from Portland did not hear about and swift who was injured last year. We also have booker Back our human highlight reel. Maybe we can be a running team on offense and at the same time keep up our zone defense. Maybe we should imitate san bernardino style of basketball it seems to work, but our have to. Also i am going to game against Irvine feel free to join me at the game. |

![]() | i dont think it will be that bad jay at irvine. At the game at SC two years ago I think we suited 8 or 9. Kept the game close. If the team have eight players roster suited up there find. Remember Coach K usually have an 8 man roatation anyways. So the key like you say is foul trouble. Of course our big man always seem to get in foul trouble. As long as we have LG on the team we will be dangerous team. We need to run everything to LG this year. |

![]() | Okay let start off this is only an exhibition game against division I school. it was a lob sided loss First off the Broncos like Jay said had only eight man suited, but bascially had a 7 man rotation with jimmy gatting 10 min.If they are forced to go this small they have to stay out foul trouble which they did not in the first half. Offense did not look good. I dont know if it was defense of irvine, but it seem they were slowing the ball down to much trying to force the ball to much in the middle. Larry got some of his points, but had to do it through the line. poor outside shooting night. In actuallity the broncos only made 1 3 pt basket. Look like with the type of players in swift and gordon need somebody to step up and drain the 3 ball. some bright side tobias went to the hoop in the second half and got easy layups. More of the team need to do this to vreate more scoring opportunity. Defense was not that bad as the score indicated especially in the first half, the problem they were leaving a irvine shooter open and draining. Irvine did not score much in the paint during the 1st half. Second half they just gave up knowing the score of the game. Freshman play and transfer Fells is bascially a Kaleen Daniels clone size, weight and skill. he will contribute some decent min especially on the defense side like KD his freshman year. Had two blocks and couple of rebounds. Offense need a little work seem to rush to much. Rosser should of got more time. Only person in the game who I thought did a good job. He made the only three pointer for the broncos and played great defense. he might be the best on ball defender on the team because his arm length is long. He like a luc richard mbah mute defender. It looks like he can guard multiple position except center and put hand on many shots. Nasser started the game but had hard time judging his game see in the future. Swift and Gordon is bascially the same player and style. difficult time scoring with the zone of Irvine. not worried about those two Tobias - good second half learned to drive to basket instead of staying outside for pts hopefully in the next two weeks coach K will see somthing and improve the offense.Defense need to work on rotation and m allowing the opponet take an open 3 shot |

![]() | our stud is not the best shooter in the world. but he can bang. so if we don't have at least two dangerous outside threats it will be a very long year. of course we weren't expected to beat irvine. but losing by 27 points and shooting just 29 per cent from the field and a whopping 11 per cent from the arc means we have more work to do than might be accomplished. that said, we better fatten up on powerful westmont and vanguard and get some confidence going. or else. the ladies have been playing in that disney classic. lost the first two games already. no stats posted on anything yet, even though the first game ended more than two days ago. paul helms got these box scores up less than an hour after the end of the games. so at least we can see what the golden eagles are doing if not the broncos....:disappoi n |
