![]() | Broncos lose again, 50-47 lakdod, i'm going out on a limb very early in the season even though i hope i'm wrong. the broncos are finished. they have little chance of going to the field of four at the CCAA tournament and no chance of dancing. tonight marked yet another frustrating finish, complete with blown leads, foolish turnovers, and very little team ball. the few good things first: larry once more had to carry this team, and his shoulders aren't big enough for everybody. kyle kept hustling for loose balls. angelo stopped talking and spent more time playing basketball. kevin was a credible sub with some key layins and putbacks. now the bad: collins is even less of a point guard than angelo. palming the ball, throwing it away, not playing hardnosed defense, contributing little on the attack...in short, this is no asset of much value. team defense. spotty at best. example: dominguez has ball with lead under a minute and we don't even have our hands up. crunch time play. with a chance to tie with a trey we pass the ball to....larry? huh? when angelo can hit from NBA range? passion. never present. a key league game and there was almost no enthusiasm from either the fans or the bench. bottom line: we are now 2-6 with the easy part of the schedule almost over. after saturday we will have far more of these games on the road. 10-15 is beginning to look like an optimistic prediction now. |

![]() | jb, you are finally coming around to what i noticed in the first home game. this team stinks and is just going through the motions. in my five years as a student there i never saw any team that did not hustle. and now some evidence of how bad it has become: 1. the broncos are off to their worst start in thirty years. 2. your point guard, collins, neither can penetrate and dish or score nor is he a shooting threat. his long range accuracy is a pathetic 21 per cent. 3. your small forward, booker, may break the conference record for poorest free throw shooting by a starter. right now he is at 23 per cent. 4. your alleged star, a pac ten transfer leads the team in turnovers with almost four per game and shot a whopping 20 per cent on ten shot attempts last night. 5. bronco fans are taking notice too. in the last game the crowd was 122, at least forty of which were for lemoyne. now you have a crucial league game at home and the attendance is 155?????? i'll bet half the fans were rooting for the toros. the broncos are on the way to the lowest attendance figures in decades too. lakdod, do you really believe this team will get hot for playoffs? if you want playoffs try titan gym where we are 8-4 and getting better. or if you want to spend big bucks try your lakers. they are a real playoff team. |

![]() | Will the Real Bronco Fans Please Stand Up! i received a call from a close friend to respond to this madness, so i returned. it breaks my heart to hear you guys talk about bronco basketball the way you do. jay- i would have to disagree with you. at the end of the game larry nailed a 3 and gave the broncos a chance to win the game. once angelo was subbed in for his deep 3 threat, he did a foolish kobe attempt at trying to get fouled on a shot and didnt even get the shot up. he decided not to even run the play. i dont think coach k would ever design an end of the game play to not even get a shot up and even if the play was designed for larry then so what, hes a legitamate player who can knock down big shots. angelo spent much of the game arguing with the refs and other team. coach k just needs to sit him down because the team plays much better with him off the court than on it. so what if they cant score when hes off the court, atleast they will play like a team. x-man, you just think ur right all the time. it makes you happy to say cpp sucks doesnt it. we dont give a damn about fullerton so stop inviting us cpp folks over there. fullerton has one player that can play is that is a shorter than average SG named Josh. yes he can fill it, but cant play any D because of his size and teams will start to key on him sooner or later. and if you call playing team basketball taking pulling transition 3's and the big men jacking 3's as they please team play, then obviously you never played organized basketball before. your life sucks so just enjoy fullerton games with your girlfriend and watch their season slip away! ![]()
