Broncos keep losing, fall to eighth seed

well, at least our guys didn't get marooned in arcata for five days if that's any glimmer of good news.

who would have imagined any scenario that would have our women finish higher in league standings than the men, who were picked to finish second?

not so fast...we sunk all the way to the last slot while our ladies land at number seven.

that means the agony will end for both teams at san bernardino tuesday.

lakdod, your wish/prediction came true. guess i was being overly optimistic thinking we might get a three or four seed.

tough lose for our Men's bball team tonite, but one positive is that i heard jimmy got in the game.

I won't say we will win the game straight out against SB but I think we play well against the coyotes, so it might not be as bad as it seems

yeah, jimmy actually scored too, and larry continued his rampage with 22 more points so we have some personal good news stories as consolations.

you're right, the broncos will battle tuesday and not go quietly into the night. but 15 losses in one season is something we haven't discussed in a decade and will take getting used to.

the otters are on fire now. they were 1-7 in league not long ago and are a recent DIII pickup. keep an eye on them.

apparently because of that complicated tie-breaker formula humboldt was named the regular season champions.

that means the bottom seed broncos get to stay in arcata for almost a week with the dreary rain, cold and fog.

but look at the bright side. they could catch the jacks sleeping since they automatically qualified for the dance. if larry lands a 30-20 night, donelle hits a free throw, baby shaq shows up, and angelo limits his turnovers to single digits and shoots better than 30 per cent that is.

in the other games, it's san diego, which fell from third to seventh, playing at the coyotes, and the eagles grabbed the third seed and will host the gators. the last game has the otters hosting the toros.

i think the gators have the best shot of winning a road game, then the broncos.

by the way, where are all those big fans hall and bronco when the team is losing? nowhere on this board.

xman-I have to study thats why I cant be on the board all the time. Yesterday I met some anderson mba students here at ucla and they laughed at your mba program from jc on state college.. As always I believe the broncos will pull it off. They are playing well enough to win as they are barely losing but they need to get off to good starts.

Hall is in the trenches with the broncos you little punk kid! he played a whopping three minutes and in that time not only was perfect from the field but also gathered in three rebounds. read: ball hawk.

that kind of activity wins ballgames. i hope jimmy gets more playing time as a bridge to the future.

Its going to be hard to win up in Humboldt. Its a crazy environment overthere. It seemed like Cal Poly Pomona played a tough game so maybe they will get Humboldt this time around.

Yes, mr jay, Jimmy took care of business as he should. I guess we had a few bronco fans in the midst of 1400 people yelling "play jimmy" and coach k pulled the plug on angelo. Jimmy is so effecient out there too, 2 pts, 3 rbs in 3 min.. cant ask for anything more than that...

Coach k, if you're out there listening, just remember on tuesday when angelo does stupid stuff... "play jimmy"
