![]() | It wasn't pretty but we got a W today. With KD out of uniform larry had to carry this team against what appeared to be a better club that simply could hit nothing from long range. I remain very concerned that this Bronco version is destined for the bottom half of the standings. There seems to be little fire or team passion, just a few guys playing hard as individuals while others stand around. Larry as always played a complete game and Kyle really was banging inside, but Angelo once again spent more time jawing with refs than leading this team with his play, not his mouth, as he should. Collins and Jahn were particularly uninspired and Donelle clanked six consecutive free throw attempts until a lane violation allowed him to escape with one made shot. The real news is this team just seems to show up on the defensive end. Our Broncos typically are hungry on defense but I see none of that here. We need to get our big man healthy in a hurry or this will be a very long year. |

![]() | larry gordon deserves much better i went to the game, one of a whopping 52 people on the student side of the gym. among that number was at least 30 fans for lemoyne. imagine being outnumbered at your home gym by fans from a school almost 3,000 miles away. i've never seen anything like this before. you are right, jayandbutton. larry gordon carried the team with a 21-10 combination while most of the other players were just standing around and not doing much. i overheard a coach from another conference school say that this team has no chemistry which of course is what we've been discussing on this board before. that dude angelo no longer is content griping about calls on him, in this game he got on the refs for a substitution of another player and the ref cautioned him. i see some technicals coming. this guy is destabilizing the team, and he's not that good either. he's a showboat and coach k. doesn't need that. larry, you should be on the fullerton team. we're 7-4, not 2-5, and we have a team concept. nobody but coaches talk back to refs. and we play teams you've heard of. |

![]() | sorry I was not there at the game and posting latley. i have work alot of hours during the christmas break. anyways a win is a win and will take it right now. I really think Larry might of well just be the focal point of the offense and let him create for his team. this week will probally be the indication of how the season might be. the broncos are playing two good teams in LA and dominguez. anyways I have a party i need to attend to on friday so I wont make another home game. which sucks i am going to miss so many games this year already, but i will be there saturday. |

![]() | do you guys think Coach will try to mix up our starting and bench rotations anytime? LA and Dominguez are both physical teams and we probably need help inside the paint. I think if LG and Kalean both have a good game, we have a good chance winning both of these games |

![]() | the subbing has already begun coach k. already has expressed his unhappiness with this team in the press and in the last game benched collins for waters. if he had anybody who could replace angelo the guess here is that he would do the same at the other guard slot. but the bench is pretty thin...jimmy for example just can't produce angelo's points. i expect to see less donelle and more kyle/kevin this weekend because they hustle and play team basketball in the kamansky mold. like angelo, donelle has more flash than bang and he's killing us at the free throw line. this team cries out for a jeff bonds type leader, steady and sure. our big man should have a breakout weekend after that suspension, i hope, but look for a split. these toro and eagle teams are just much better than in prior years while we've gone the other way. while we might catch fire by season's end as lakdod hopes, i just see too many teams way ahead of us in game experience and team cohesion. |

i agree with you jay.. im sure coach K wants to replace angelo but who is he going to replace him yet just give him a few quality minutes.. jimmy, bill forelli who hasnt produced anything in 3 years.. hes in a tough situation but once again, coach k is a mastermind and he will find a way to get this team to win and play hard. he never had a team quit on him and this wont be the first team to do so. donelle is simply not producing this year early on but i think he did have a breakout game last night.. hopefully he continues that play tonight.. however he still cant make a free throw to save his life.. hes shaq-like from the line.. euugh! | |
