Broncos blow early lead vs. WWU, trail

Since we no longer seem to be in the webcast business with the departure of paul helms i had to listen to the two homer radio announcers from bellingham.

We drove it into the paint early and KD dominated. We led 14-6. Then he got into foul trouble, nobody stepped up, and western went on a 27-7 run.

Halftime score, WWU 33, Broncos 21.

The announcer said we "look like a basketball team but we don't play like one."

Read: not much teamwork. Again. Could be a very long season.

we led 21-17.

now it's 41-21, which means broncos have been outscored 24 to NOTHING!

ugh.

Oh great. this could be a long season for the Broncos. i thought this team had a chance to be really good. Anyways its early and all I got to say get us in the conference tournament and maybe we can still make the playoffs if the team can get their act together. hopefully tommorrow will be a different story than the first game. i guess the team really miss Cook. I am going to go out on a limb and predict a win.

western even suspended its starting point guard for being naughty in las vegas and it had little effect. the blowout continues. down eighteen and clock running down.

i'm going home. no hope today.

I'm not really surprise about lack of team cohesiveness as we enter this tough road schedule in Vegas. Back in the CSUMB game, even though thats a game we won, we did not move the ball well at at. For the most part, they play as they don't really know each and the extra pass was not made.

Granted, with this team, many are newcomers, but we can't just go down the floor and just shoot a jumper. We need to move the ball around, pound it inside and if the pocket cloaspes, then pass it back out side for the open jumper or drive it through the lane to the basket.

Hopefully they'll turn it around today..
