![]() | on the Brackets grand canyon got a sweep at home and move to 20-7 today. seattle won its seventh straight today too. the seasiders also won. anchorage beat fairbanks, and central washington won. that's the news from the bottom of the bracket. seattle in the first round for us, the lopes versus the yotes, correct? we have the tougher game. we need our big man back. |

![]() | Here is some info about Seattle. They are 19-8 this year and was co gnac conference champions. They are led by Sam Kirby a 6-0 guard who average 13.3 points per game. Followed by Leigh Swanson who is a 6-8 forward average 12.7 points and 5.5 rebounds. Third leading scorer is Ryan Webb guard who is averaging 10.3 pts and averaging 6.5 assist. Fourth scorer is Center David White average 9.7 pts and 7 rebounds. Starting 5 Sam kirby G 6-0 175 senior Ryan Webb G 6-1 195 senior Leigh Swanson F 6-8 210 soph Mike Boxley f 6-5 215 freshman David White C 6-11 230 Senior It look like we match up defensively. I think the advantage we might have is in Center. They have no weight in their big guys maybe if we bound them low we can tired them out. make prediction later in the week. The game is at noon on Friday so we have the first game in the entire tournament. The game will be played at death valley aka East gym. |

![]() | 6-8 and 6-11 is clearly taller than we have but as you say these guys are on the slender side. i believe the tourney turns on baby shaq. if he has career stats we can win it all. no game is a gimme. anchorage has beaten the jacks regularly at east gym, but they clearly have a huge edge on their home floor. |

![]() | the other question who is going to guard dion. I mean Dion is tearing it up. Are there going to put a freshman on him for most of the game or there going to put a bigger guy and let the freshman guard Larry. I wont be surprise if Seattle takes the freshman out early. The other edge we have is experience. That is one thing you can not beat. We have seniors and juniors who played in the elite eight. While Seattle have not been there in a while. Coach K will get this team ready like he did with the previous playoffs team. |

![]() | i still say the outcome of the dance turns on our big man/men. we can squeak by in the first round but then ivan johnson looms, and he's been averaging double-doubles in the second half of the season. he will eat kevin and kyle alive. the last rumor i heard was that we couldn't get our entire program on one plane. welcome to arcata. |

![]() | Here is my prediction for the game the Broncos by 5 over seattle. Dion Cook will score 20 pts followed by Daniels with 14 pts. If you want to see my bracket and prediction for the region look at the d2board. |

![]() | wow fame, that's a most pessimistic prediction. losing in the first round to the six seed on a neutral court would be quite a blow. that's a near blowout, and i can't recall that ever happening in any regional under coach k's lead. but you sound like you have inside information, like you are connected with the program in some way. what is the nature of baby shaq's injury? and what do you think about his being left out of the all league team? i am shocked that there's only one center and eleven guards. i have seen him mature both on and off the court and see him as an underappreciated talent. |

![]() | Well I am not batting 1.00. My prediction for the wins total was a bit off. I thought they would win 22, but they only won 20. Other than that I have a good prediction record this year hopefully I am right the rest of the way. |

![]() | reply to jay yeah that was a bit pessimistic opinion but i was just trying to state that they havent been playing like a playoff capable team the last month of the season. and you cant just turn it on as you please especially come playoff time, and with kaelen not 100%, it is a good possibility that the broncos wont get the job done. thats why i predicted them going down by 11 points, remember were talking about the GNAC champs now, this is no lowsy grand canyon. as far as kaelen gettin snubbed from the all ccaa team, i would make the case that he deserved to be on the team if his play was consistent throughout ccaa play. at times he wasnt even the broncos 5th best player on the court. he emerged early in the season and in the end. the level of consistency was jus not there for the big fella. he made big strides from last year to this year and can now have even more motivation for next year. |

![]() | good insights, fame...i agree that our big man was up and down but then even the neon man had off nights. overall i think baby shaq had enough game to get him onto the second team given the talent of other centers in the league. i disagree about canyon. they are a better program now than when they were a conference foe, but agree that seattle still beats them simply by being in a tougher league. and yeah, i too am looking forward to the larry, donelle, and kaelen show next year. sure hope all will be healthy throughout the season. j |
