cal poly baseball fans might be able to watch the crucial series this weekend with cal state that begins this afternoon. the university web site says it is airing on a local cable channel.

the broncos have already qualified for the conference championship round and with a strong showing this weekend for their final home series likely will advance to the NCAA championships as well.

broncos clinch conference south division title today.
they beat cal state 10-8. had big lead going into 9th and coach had to bring in a starter to shut down a one out rally. luis carreras came in and threw seven pitches. the best the other guys got was one foul tip as luis struck both batters out.

last home games of season tomorrow on campus. broncos can clinch outright conference title with a sweep and help in san francisco.
