Open to all MCs, Artists, Singers, Actors, Poets, etc. Name of Event: ASI Bronco Exhibit Gallery Art Reception Date: Thursday, October 14, 2004 Time: 7-9 p.m. Location: Bronco Student Center, Bronco Exhibit Gallery Brief Description: Second art reception of the quarter featuring video game design by John Shiroma and paintings by Satomi Furukawa. Free food, music and refreshments. Exhibit on display October 11th – 29th. Name of Event: College of Agriculture’s 12th Annual Pumpkin Festival Date: Saturday and Sunday, October 16 & 17, 2004 Time: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Location: Temple Avenue and South Campus Drive Brief Description: Pick your own pumpkins from the pumpkin patch, shop the farm store and nursery for Cal Poly produce and meats and unique specialty grocery items, and visit student club booths for food and games. Day also features Pancake Breakfast, Insect Fair, petting zoo, horse rides, and entertainment. Name of Event: ASI B.E.A.T, International Research Forum Date: Monday, October 18, 2004 Time: 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Location: Bronco Student Center Brief Description: Highlights include a nationally recognized keynote speaker, Sarah Anderson, Director of the Global Economy Program at the Institute for Policy Studies, forum sessions from five CSU campuses, International Fashion Show & performances, food booths, information booths, study abroad presentation “Learning Through Experience”. Name of Event: Student Development and Leadership (SDLI) 3-D Leadership Conference Date: Friday, October 22, 2004 Time: 2 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Location: Bronco Student Center, Ursa Major Suite Brief Description: The 3D Leadership Conference is an innovative educational initiative for students in any stage of their leadership development wanting to explore campus involvement opportunities and enhance personal growth. 3D, in its inaugural year, is a free program open to any currently enrolled Cal Poly Pomona student. Student Development and Leadership (SDLI) is proud to announce Kwame Jackson as the keynote speaker for the 2004 3-D Leadership Conference – Dream, Dare Do! The conference will take place on Friday, October 22, 2004 in the Bronco Student Center Ursa Major Suite beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Jackson ending the half-day conference with his speech, Lessons from the Boardroom, at 6:00 p.m. The 3D Leadership Conference is an innovative educational initiative for students in any stage of their leadership development wanting to explore campus involvement opportunities and enhance personal growth. 3D, in its inaugural year, is a free program open to any currently enrolled Cal Poly Pomona student. ![]() | Hello SDLI participants, The Student Development and Leadership Institute (SDLI) and the Distinguished Lecture Series at Cal Poly Pomona is proud to announce Kwame Jackson as the keynote speaker for the 2004 3-D Leadership Conference – Dream, Dare Do! Jackson, a Harvard MBA Grad, will be speaking about his professional leadership experience working for Proctor and Gamble, a Fortune 500 company and his first hand experience being under the helm of real estate guru Donald Trump in NBC’s nationally televised reality show, The Apprentice. In an effort to assist students in exploring their own leadership abilities and in becoming involved in co-curricular campus activities, faculty and staff are requested to encourage students in their classes, offices, and clubs to register for the upcoming free 3D Leadership Conference. The conference will take place on Friday, October 22, 2004 in the Bronco Student Center Ursa Major Suite beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Jackson bringing the half-day conference to a close with his speech, Lessons from the Boardroom, at 6:00 p.m. Although students attending the conference will receive VIP seating at the Jackson address, limited additional seating will be available for the general public.
