![]() | How does ASI show Hollywood movies to the students that has not been released on DVD/VHS? For example "The Shred." ASI BEAT showed Shrek 2 in the England Evans room like 3 weeks before the movie was released.

| Fire-breather | Perhaps it wasn't a rental that they secured for the showing. It's probably much cheaper to show a theatrical release months after it's made its run in theaters. Could you tell if the movie was shown from a projector or a DVD player?

![]() | I've seen it once and it was shown from a projector. Either the ASI received the DVD several weeks earlier before the release date or the ASI paid a rental/license fee to show the movie. Second that, DVD movies are allowed to be played in home and not for public. So the ASI must have paid a royalty. |
