Has anyone here taken MAT 216?

I'm considering taking MAT 216 as an elective. I'm wondering how it compares in difficulty to other calculus classes.

I'd say it's easier then MAT215, but harder then all the other MAT series.

It's about 3d Differential Equations, its not hard...its a lot of steps and tricks, if you get a good teacher it's a cake walk. If you get a bad teacher, you're forced to read the difficult concepts and try and make sense of them on your own... the steps are easy, but the concepts are hard. If that makes sense?

If you're taking MAT216 as an elective... since it's 3d differential equations it probably won't help you in life much though, it would make sense if it's required by your major to take it... then you'd actually use it, otherwise like other maths it'll just disappear.

Hope that helps!

I haven't taken MAT 215. I have taken MAT 214 though. Is this the stuff that is covered in MAT 116?

I'm considering taking it because grad schools may like to see it on my transcript.

Yes. That is the stuff in MAT216.

I'd say MAT216 will be slightly harder then MAT115/MAT116 but quite easy compared to MAT214. Good times.

i felt mat214 was way easier than mat216. But yeah, mat216 can be broken down into simple small baby steps, but the theory behind it is too much. get malakar if u can... i had him and he's a good teacher.
