![]() | Sup ak. I came to school just to watch the live presentation but the thing is, I came five minutes before it ended. However, I managed to speak with the North Korean speaker, Mr. Yong Kim, North Korean Prison Camp Survivor and asked some questions. Mr. Yong Kim had a professional interpreter with him to interpret everything. What are you doing at the moment? Mr. Yong Kim is attending Benjamin Theological Seminars here in the United States. When did you arrive to the United States? I arrived April last year and planning on staying here in the United States until graduation. Mr. Yong Kim believes in the Human Rights issue and hopes the North Korean leader will perpetrate its citizen/people. The regime and the dictatorship of the North Korean leader, Kim Jong Il, must be down. I truly hope that the American democracy will trace out to North Korea, as the U.S. democracy is the answer. The presentation was sponsored by APISC (Asian & Pacific Islander Student Center) and North Korea Initiative for Human Rights - Sarah Oh as the representative. APISC and North Korea Initiative for Human Rights plan on having a similar or same presentation on the month of April this year. |

![]() | The name of students that is listed on the petition was not long but I hope the petition letter will not be ignored but can be considered or better yet, S.1903 go through. Now I understand why a large percentage of activists and protesters (?) are college students. High school students and below are busy with following their trends or trying to get in good universities. And if you graduate from college, you will need to start working and paying bills. But when you're in college, many students can come up with time and get involved in protest, petitions, activism, and etc. College students are knowledgeable about politics and world events. And with knowledge comes power. Power to take great effect on the government. |
