anybody feels security has improved at CPP

I know it has been a busy week for me, but there has been two assault at school last week. With this being final weeks, I do not know but it seems like there same amount of security on campus that in the past. I left campus late last night and did not see improvments. The other thing I wonder how many students know about what happen two weeks ago. the only thing they did was send a email there was no notices around campus about what happened.

I WAS IN THE LIBRARY ON SUNDAY NIGHT AND POLICE OFFICERS WERE WALKING THROUGH THE LIBRARY TO MAKE A PRESENCE AND CHECK ON THE STUDENTS. CAMPUS POLICE DEPARTMENT HAS ADDED MORE POLICE OFFICERS ON THE NIGHT SHIFTS. EVERYONE KNOWS WHAT HAPPENED AS THE RECENT EVENTS WERE ON EVERY SINGLE NEWS CHANNEL, POLY POST, NEWSPAPER AND CAMPUS BULLETIN YOU CAN THINK OF.

SEE, HALL CAN POST ON OTHER TOPICS AS WELL.

Exclamation carry pepper sprays NOT pocket knife ladies

Being a male 6'2", I never worried about security but reading the sad news on campus I tell all my girl friends to never walk alone at night and to use the security officer to escort you.
Dont carry a pocket knife!! Carry a pocket-sized pepper spray--much more effective. Just be sure to learn how to use it.

some chicks i know carry whistles and other ways to make a lot of noise if attacked. that and the pepper spray should do the trick.

also, program your cell phone to make 911 calls. and leave the speaker on.

unless they have a loaded gun. then you are as unlucky as the students at va. tech. that's a bad scene, man.

cal poly police should have training on this stuff.

Those are some good ideas. Cal Poly Pomona have introduced a "comprehensive emergency communications system that will alert all members of the university community in the event of an urgent situation." <http://polycentric.csupomon a.edu/news.asp?id=1939>

If you are a current Cal Poly student or staff, I highly recommend that you take the time to read the article and sign up for the communication system.
