Question Addition of "P" on the campus hill costs $10,000?!

Hey there, I talked to one of my colleagues today and learned that the addition of the letter P on our campus hill was estimated at around $10,000. Fortunately, that large amount was donated and not out of ASI (our own pocket).

Can someone confirm this? I like to know how such project would cost near $10K!

Thumbs down

what is up with the color? Each letter have different colors right now if you look up the hill and looks rather tacky.

Do they still play the bell? It didn't catch my ears during the past weeks.

The CPP letters goes through frequent paintlift so the current color scheme should change soon.

Bells are gone from what I know.

The colors are painted on the letters by various clubs around campus. Often times they even get free paint from what i hear.

$10,000 does not surprise me. A small job like that is kind of complex in that its laying a lot of concrete on a slope. It has to be done by a very credible business, so that drives up the price. Otherwise I would have done it for $3000. It woulda looked horrible though.

Here is a story about the Pride Center's trouble with painting the letters->

So much for tolerance. Peace -
