![]() | sup everyone what up everyone. hopefully i'll be joining some of you guys at either slo or pomona for fall 2005. I was just wondering what my chances are as a civil engr. major. my gpa is kinda low, bout a 3.1, but I have all of my preparatory work finished for my major, and in some cases, I exceeded the number of desired units. I'm hoping civil is not as competetive as say electrical or computer and that might increase my chances. any replies would be greatly appreciated. thanks. |

How were your test scores? Maybe you can compensate.

![]() | Thats changes things It's always worth a shot; To be entirely honest, when I appied to Cal Poly I didn't think that I would get in at all (it was one of my "reach" schools). The fact that you have more "desired" units can make all the difference in the world. What was your GPA out of the specific classes that Cal Poly requires? (the classes listed on that admissions sheet). That's your 'actual' GPA according to Cal Poly admissions when they make an admission decision. |

It's nice here, but I honestly do miss SLO; it was (is) such a charming little town.

![]() | CP SLO Grads In Top Grad Schools Also, that's pretty rad a SLO alumni is at the highest ranked Law School in the country.[/quote] Hello… I accidentally stumbled across this site and found it interesting. I think that you will find CP SLO graduates attending some of the best grad schools across the country. After graduating from CP I went on to Washington University in St. Louis and studied business and law (I’m a corporate attorney on the east coast). I had two other CP SLO grads in my class. Also, one of my best friend from SLO went on to Penn for medical school another went to Georgetown for law. This was a decade ago, but we still stay in touch. Good luck to all of you. BTW… I agree SLO town is fantastic… after living in St. Louis (which I also loved), Philadelphia, NYNY etc.… I would still prefer to live in SLO town… it’s just that cool. |
