![]() | Starting Fall 2005... Hey, wassup guys. I'm from the San Francisco bay area, I'll be attending Pomona fall 2005 as a freshman, majoring in Computer Science. I've really started to fade away from computer science, and I'm more interested in psychology and sociology. Can anyone tell me any information about their sociology program, or anything else? Thanks. |

![]() | Also, I've searched all over csupomona.edu and I can't figure out how to apply for dorm housing. It's kind of important that I get a dorm, and I'm not really sure who to call, or what to do, so any help at all would be great. Thanks. |

![]() | Hello, Welcome to Cal Poly Online and to Cal Poly Pomona. I'm a psychology major and was also thinking about switching over to computer science, but I think I will stick with Psychology instead. Anyhow here are a few websites that may be of some use to you: http://www.class.csupomona.edu/bhs/. Psychology, Sociology, and Behavioral Sciences are all grouped under the same department called the Behavioral Science department. I would recommend that you take 12 units during your first quarter at Cal Poly Pomona, specifically STA 120, ENG 104 or any remedial English classes if you need to take them (i.e. ENG 095 or ENG 096), and SOC 201. For STA 120 you may want to get some tutoring if you feel you need it because STA can be a little difficult. Also check out Bronco Direct and Grade Cal Poly.com for professor reviews. For bronco direct click view schedule of classes, then enter 2057 for term seach and click basic search. Enter BHS(behavioral science), SOC(sociology) and PSY(psychology) and then scroll down and click search. The good thing is you know who's teaching what and you can check for reviews before selecting the class. I hope this helps. |

You may have missed the deadline to apply for dorm housing. But since you live in SF, you have priority (possible automatic get in) over people that live within 20 or something miles from campus. | |
