Smile hi people:)

hi! my name is alice and i'm in my senior year in high school, i can't wait to graduate...lol. umm i think yesterday was the day that we can begin on working on our college applications, for UCs at least, don't know about CSU. but i just went to Cal Poly SLO yesterday (and today) and i love the campus there, the people are pretty nice too...hehe. i took a lot of pictures of cal poly, it's so big. i just went with my brother and looked around...we were gonna have somebody guiding us, but she didn't pick up her phone...oh well. but anyways, i'm definitely gonna apply there for one of my choices. the thing is i don't know if i'd get accepted...i got a 4.06 (or probably a little higher since my grade was changed) for my cumulative GPA and i still don't know what i got on my ACTs yet because i just took it last saturday...last time was really low...like a 20 i don't even know if i improved or not..i hope i did. i'm a horrible test-taker and english is hard for me...(it was my second language...but i'm working on it..) wow, this introduction is pretty long...i think i should stop now..lol okay, nice to meet you all! byebye

hey phoenix, check out the chat in here about the uc vs. the csu systems. some good stuff in there. you can't go wrong with the polytech schools. they are rated 1-2 in the 23 campus system. by the way, we have at least 2,000 students at pomona who speak cantonese and we have a very big hong kong student assn. i speak some but mandarin better. see ya, xiaoxue

Hi Alice. You brought your decisions down to two campuses. I don't think it will be too hard to choose from after visiting the campuses and the dorms.
Either San Luis Obispo or Davis would be an excellent choice. Good luck.

If you get accepted to your top choice schools, then you should pick the one that is stronger in your area of interest. But this will only work if you know what you want to major in. Coming out of high school I had no clue what I really wanted to do. I remained undecided in college for two years, the maximum that was allowed.

good advice, dragon...i was not sure and chose poly b/cuz it's so strong in sciences and engr...then i switched to bus school and like it better. phoenix girl looking at slo and davis but may really be happier here in pomona since it's easier to move around..hehe...in lots of ways...and our hk ppl are cool and accepted in most crowds.
