Smile Hi everyone

I am currently a high school senior and graduating in June.

I just recently have been accepted to this school and others as well. Of all the campuses I visited(fullerton,sa nbernandino,LA), CSU pomonas campus was the best. I really enjoyed the trees and the calm atmosphere of the place.

Now I have a couple of questions,

when I applied to cal poly, I put computer science as a major without even thinking about it. would I be able to change majors right away once I become a student?

I am taking CISCO as one of my electives in high school, are there any CISCO Networking classes in cal poly pomona?

Also, I have to take the the EPT and ELM test on may
If I do poorly, would I have to take basic classes?

thats all..see you all this fall

CS is hard, you have to be good at math. You need take through all the Calculus and Linear Algebra etc. Since you need to take ELM not MDPT Calculus, I would suggest you find some other major.

MDPT is different than ELM. You need to be more clear so I can help you.

so that means that I have to take both ELM and MDPT?

I am registered to all the test, ELM, EPT, and MDPT.

If your score in SAT I is higher than 550 in either Math or English, you don't have to take ELM (Math) or EPT (English). So you sound like you need to take ELM, then the math required in the CS will probably kill you.

It varies among departments whether you can change majors. Some of them want you to take 12 or so units in their department before you can change.

I am thinking of changing my major to computer engineering.

I heard that it is easier to change between two similar majors, is this correct?
