Hello!

Hey everyone,

My name is Dennis Pham, CIS Major, graduating before Summer 2005. I am currently holding 3 jobs, one of which I would like to introduce to all of you. This is my second year as a Student Ambassador to Microsoft, which basically means that I am here to aid students in developing their tech skills by conducting presentations on MS technologies like ASP.Net or Visual Basic .Net or inform students of what's going on in the tech community. I look foward to talking and working with everyone and hearing what you have to say! Feel free to email me at dpham@csupomona.edu

Wow, 3 jobs AND you're a student? Do you not sleep?

Anyway, welcome! I've already graduated and am currently working at a website development company called Solien Technology. We're a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner. Just theought I'd mention that since you're a MS guy too. How's the interest level for your presentations?

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I got a chance to view the Solien Technology site and the content of it really stands out (technical articles, case studies, clear presentation of what your company does). All in all, I am here to learn as much as you guys are about cal poly, technology, education, and just maximizing our opportunities. What are some of your beliefs or phrases that you live by?

I live by a phrase that I came up with myself: "Take heart, persevere, and overcome!" In other words, if things get bad or you aren't achieving what you'd hoped, don't get discouraged. Keep at it, be tenacious, and you will eventually get there.

Dang I missed out on jamarquez's signature. Anyways, thanks for the welcome guys. I would like to share some of the words that I live by:

The old saying:

"Work hard play hard."
I feel that how you have fun should reflect your work ethics.

"Remember the past, cherish the present, live for the future."
My high school year book quote that I'm sure isn't original. It still applies for me. I feel like there's always something to strive for no matter the age and that the present is always only a moment so grasp it while you can.

"When you do something right, no one remember. When you do something wrong, everyone remembers."
My dad told me this recently and it made me laugh. It's sad because it's true. Never do anything nice when you expect something nice in return.

My present employer has this as their motto. Or at least they used to back when we were prosperous. We're still trying to recover from the economic toilet flush.

Sure I have a legit copy of longhorn and please, I am in no position to "turn people in" hehe as I'm just the type of guy who's like "hey check this out it's pretty sweet." If anything I'll just say that you can download Windows for free and it's legit and less of a hassle getting windows updates.

Office Longhorn? SP3? lol couldn't help yourself could you?
