Continue using the current site or the beta site?

Hi Zoe, do you want us to continue using the current goodbadtenured site or start using the beta site?

Whoops, this was posted in May? How did I miss it? I would prefer people to use the Beta site because I'm eventually going to get rid of the old one. I guess I should just switch over soon. I just haven't gotten around to it.

See if you can switch over by the Fall 2004 quarter. And you can have the current default goodbadtenured site as an option for students to use.

Oh my~ that was a FAST response. Were you lurking on the board?
Can't you do it now or are you at work? I prefer the new design (nice art work).

Heh, I'm at work but am immediately notified of new Yahoo mail. So when I get notification of a new post I run over there immediately. Why work when you can play? ;-)

I prefer the new design myself and am rather proud of it since I did it all by myself. Woohoo! Hopefully I'll get around to it before September!

Thumbs up

Hey guys, I finally did it! I finally booted the old, severely outdated site and brought in the newone, woohoo! I'm not going to bother with a link to the old site, there's no point in risking loopholes through membership due to old code hanging around.

Anyway, if you find something that needs fixing or improvement, let me know and I'll try to get to it.

Nice job zoedragon!

LOL! zoedragon, why not apply for Google Adsense program? Do you see the Google ad right below the end of the posts, that is a revenue program for webmasters. Check it out at google.com/adsense
There are other reputable programs like TribalFusion (high CPM but difficult to get in the program), Fastclick (my favorite) and Burstmedia (so so).

Thanks for the suggestions! As you can see I haven't researched it much. I will be sure to look into them, they sound very interesting!

In the schools.asp page, rather than a break after the "At this time this website only services Cal Poly Pomona." sentence, the sentence goes over the spiral image. I am using Netscape Navigator in the computer lab.

Edit: The minor problem applies to Internet Explorer browser too.

Thanks for PM replies.

That's very weird. It doesn't overlap the spiral for me in either IE or Netscape. What versions are you using? I'm on NS 7.1 and IE 6.0. Oh yeah, and is it on a Mac? Macs are a bane to my professional existence. Things that look and work perfectly on a PC will somehow look funky on a Mac.

NS is 7.1 and IE is 6.0 too.
Operating System: Windows XP Pro
Screen Resolution: Appears to be 1280x1024
This is for a PC. I'll go check up on other pc on campus and at home today.

Darnit I can't seem to reproduce it. I set my resolution to be the same, but it still looks normal. I'm on Windows 2000 though. I wonder if the OS has something to do with it? That would be weird. Is it the same on other computers over there?

The page appeared fine on another pc in the same lab so that was strange.
Must have been that pc or something. Nothing to worry about.
Looks fine at home too.

The words go over the spiral for me. It is because the background image isn't large enough. If you lengthen the image to 1600 pixels, the problem will be solved.

Ohhhh I get it now! The background image is tiling! I thought he was saying the text was overlapping the spiral on the left side. Thanks for the insight. I'll be sure to lengthen that image.
