Pure excitement folks!
Best of all, you get to watch the U.S. play right here in our backyard, So. CA, Anaheim that is.

Did you guys know that 2006 is the very first year of the baseball 'olympics?' You can read the FAQ at http://www.worldbaseballcla ssic.com/2006/about/index.jsp?sid=wbc and the homepage is http://www.worldbaseballcla ssic.com.

1 word: what the heck is US doing? The loss against Canada was real bad. And the beatdown by Korea was embarrassing. Another beatdown by Mexico?

The problem with the US is the pitching of Willis. In the two game he started he got rock and bascially put the US in a deep hole. Also the team bats is bascially only averaging 4 runs a game except for that S. Africa game. Hopefully Korea beat Japan or else the US is bascially out of the WBC. It would be an embarssement if the US does not reach the semis.

I have a very good feeling that Korea will defeat Japan in tonight's match. We'll see tonight. A 'major' embarrassment for the U.S. if they are out of the WBC championship league.
Plus, they have a great batting lineup. And U.S. is planning on recruting Barry Bonds (homerun leader) to the team if U.S. makes it to the semifinals.

I am going to say it know Barry Bonds will never play for the US Team. Plus I hate Barry Bonds with passion and I hope he gets hurt and never play another baseball game.

Korea 6 wins into Semi. Only team who hasn't lost. Solid defense and the clutch-hit. Very impressive even though I don't like them.

Congratulations to Japan for the inaugural win of the 2006 World Baseball Championship!
I never knew the probability of winning the same baseball team three-times-in-a-row was extremely slim.
Let's just hope the tournament's ladder system improve because the whole system seemed unfair and out of proportion.
