Where are all the girls?

Hey everyone

Today I was having lunch down on foothill street, having a conversation with a friend, Mike. Mike and I are both Computer Science majors. I recently broke up with my long time girlfriend, so he is always trying to get me to go out and meet "new" girls. Anyway, we got to talking how to go about doing this, and you know what I noticed? There are virtually *zero* girls in my major. In all of my classes, I think there are...maybe 2 girls. Whats the deal with that? Seriously, I'm curious.

I think I better change my major so I can meet a few of you ladies ;-)

I thought it's like that in Computer Science major. Sorry about your gf, hey at least you had a gf. I never had one.

Why don't you join a club or something? That's where I met my boyfriend this year. Either way you'll meet cool people that have similar interests.

It is a shame that there aren't that many girls that are into majoring in Computer Science, not only so you can get a date, but so I don't have to be almost the only girl that is majoring in computer science, although it is not exactly bad to be surrounded by guys in my classes, that is how I met my boyfriend (in class). I don't know why there aren't that many girls that are computer science majors, it is very fun yet challenging at times.

Probably has to do with way male/female brain structure. Male are usualy more comfortable with lots of number and etc.

Opposites attract...well, that's what they always say. So who knows, girls in liberal studies might find computer science students attractive.

my gf thinks im a nerd and she says that she loves it. She's a teacher (she was a liberal arts major, but finished) and im an engineering major. go figure

Nobody finds Com Sci students attractive, we're com sci students after all ;-) Hehe. Really though, I need to find a new chick. Maybe that "liberal studies girl" idea is a good one :-) I'll try it out

Pomona, I plan to be Computer Animater or Game Modeler...anything with computer in it then I am probably fine....I am writing ASP now so I can get a CIS minor easy if I want to hehe...
