Eh... big deal... some girl bathing is hardly sexual; and even if it was I don't think the government has any right to make it a law prohibiting a women from doing it. It's not exactly corrupting or destroying anyone's property/personality. Eh... breasts, big deal... I imagine more damage is done by Desperate housewives, and that is on prime time TV.

Damn conservatives need to stop worrying about spongebob and breasts on the beach and start taking care of more important social issues like poverty, and homelessness.

"This 'drop your top' proposal is so wrong-headed it's embarrassing," said Randy Thomasson, CCF president, in a press release.

"We already have too many sexual assaults in society. If the state encourages women to show their breasts to men and boys at public beaches and parks, inappropriate treatment of women and girls will only worsen."
This person seems to be forgetting that the bill allows women to have the freedom to be topless and does not force them to be topless. Women have the freedom to walk around in the streets by themselves. That may increase their chance of being raped, but the law does not force them to stay indoors. This allows them to decide for themselves what is best.

You ever been to a nudist camp? Trust me, there are NOT 36-24-36 tan blond babes strutting around with shaved pink parts.

Instead, there's a bunch of old, shriveled people as well as fat people. Don't go there expecting to have a boner 24/7.

This bill seems to be as silly as the one that passed banning restaurants from using horse meat in their menu. Aren't there more important issues that need attention, like traffic congestion, fraud, recycling, pollution... Just about ANYTHING is more important than this!

Just because there are more important things, doesn't mean that no time should be allocated to things of lesser importance. One might consider studying to be more important than watching television, yet still sometimes watch television.

My decision to watch TV instead of study does not involve taxpayer dollars.

This issue involves the California Attorney General and the California Legislation, so our tax money would get involved in this.

How much would it cost and how cheap would it have to be for zoedragon to consider it cost-effective?

Zoe, we live in a society where everybody wants to have a say in what you do, where you do, and who you do it with. They have no lives of their own and must REGULATE yours. So your rights to not wear any clothing are being trounced by their disgust at the very sight of you hidous gut.

Most people look better wearing clothing anyway. If women were to walk around naked all the time, men would be totally desensitized and wouldn't think anything of it. The first few times, we'd be like "YEOWZA" and "WHOOHOOO", then, it's like "uh huh". Then some other fetish takes a hold, like bald heads. Back to being apes.

This government is fat and bloated as any would be when they get to use your hard-earned money as they please. If I get a hold of your money, I'd use it too. Obviously, somebody thinks it important enough to write the bill and lobby for it. They have the right. Otherwise change, good or bad, would never take place.

As for taxes, only us dopes pay them. You think the wealthy are paying? They find loopholes left and right. up and down. forward and backward. u get my point. Even I can find them.

I want to have to pay $0 because I don't care whether they wear nothing. So it all comes down to how much you care. I care that the potholes are ripping my car a new one and I want them fixed. I care that the cost of housing is outrageous and I want that fixed. I dont care if you overdose on crack, cocain, meth, lsd, pcp, draino, marlboro, camel, 40. Hell, I'd buy it for you just so you would overdose. In fact, I'll throw in free grave digging service. haha :P

You think you are part of the legislature now, huh?

In the long run, dergulating what people need to wear may save money. Police won't have to arrest people for not wearing clothing. The court won't have to try those arrested people. Thus we won't have to spend as much money on police, courts, and possibly jail.

Just wait until a couple more rape cases come along.
Not to mention all the new skin cancer cases-if people don't have insurance, then we all pay.

Having an unhealthy diet could cause cancer also, yet we don't outlaw the eating of junk food. We try to inform people of what is generally best, but we leave it up to them to decide what is preferable. If skin cancer was really an issue then why do we not force men to wear shirts while in the outdoors?

Well, junk food and soft drinks have already been outlawed (for sale) in public schools.
I'm sure there's some nutcase somewhere drafting a law that will ban the sale of junk food to the public.
