Searching for Auto Insurance Provider

Code:
Auto Insurance Provider: Wawanesa Insurance
Annual Quote: $1,293.00
Bodily Injury Liability: $15,000 / $30,000 Each Occurence
Property Damage Liability: $25,000 Each Occurrence
Medical Payments: $1,000 Each Person
Collision: $500 Deductible
Towing and Labor Costs: $50 each Disablement

Am I paying too much? I have one point on the record but will be gone early this year (clean record). No accidents. The liabilities is minimum as you can tell.

Do you have a better quote than that? My renewal is coming up on mid-March.

You should consider including UN (uninsured and unlicensed) coverage, especially if you live near Los Angeles or go to L.A.
I don't have a car yet but my parents have Progressive Insurance.

No way! Are you under your parent's insurance coverage? Any special discounts?
I am not 21 and I have 1 point on the DMV record so that should affect the quote a lot.

I'll go get a quote from Mercury and see what they'll give me. Thanks.

nuh, it's under my name...I'm 25 so I've been driving for about 10yrs...
I got a couple discounts...good driver, anti theft, multiple vehicle, I use to have good student but that doesn't apply anymore...it's only for students with less than 9 yrs of driving experience...fight vigorious for those discounts...cuz some of them are like up to 15% off...

Thanks for the advice. Will be turning 21 very soon and hopefully, it will decrease the insurance quote (5 year experience).

I am currently paying an annual insurance plan in three installments.
It is time to pay my second installment. I turned 21 recently and therefore, I am no longer a minor in the state of California.
Is there a chance/possibility that I can get the current quote reduced due to my age and clean record?

Kaycee, you have an annual quote and Teflonjim has a 6 month quote. So obviously his is less. And Driver add cost, not cars.

Also, I'm 23 and my insurance is higher with just one point. Your quote is not that high. Try shopping around though. Mercury is ok. Maybe look for an insurance broker who will get the quotes from like 6 different places and hook you up with the lowest one. They can do this while you wait.

Also I agree you should have uninsured motorist coverage. Drivers in CA suck and a lot of them drive POS cars with no insurance.
