| Fire-breather | Looks like there are two questions posted at once, so I'll answer them both! A: LilWahine, you're not the only white girl on this forum. I'm... well, I'm half! So there are at least 1.5 white girls here! That's more than one. Feel better? A: JAMarquez, "carbs or no carbs" would depend on a few factors: body type, whether you're insulin intolerant or diabetic, and some other stuff I've probably forgotten. I would refine my answer to "no REFINED carbs". The vast majority of food in the U.S. has been processed to death. Crackers, cookies, snack cakes, practically ANYTHING with flour is chock full of non-nutritious processed carbs. Whole grains are GOOD carbs to have and you shouldn't cut them out. (Are you sorry you asked? I've been doing a lot of reading.) Q: Do you pay attention to what you eat? |

A: ummmm, Sometimes, I run and lift weights off and on and when I do i watch what i eat and when i don't i just let go and eat whatever. Q: I'm really into politics and I will be running for office in the March 8th 2005 election, so please tell me why younger people who complain about gov't and politics don't do anything about it (or who want to change something)? I am.

A: HA ha, Yeah but they told me to go for it. I have alot people cheering me on and have told me many times they will help me. It will be an up-hill battle for me but I believe I can do it. Q: Hey, Why don't YOU run for office as well? Maybe in your city? It will be fun to get involved in the political process

| Fire-breather | A: I don't think I'm cut out for it. I hate politics even though I have my personal views. I'm a bit too sensitive to withstand all the mudslinging that goes on. It's all about spin. The most qualified person will usually get beaten by the guy who has the best PR people. I can imagine the folks in Inglewood (where I currently reside, and where the vast majority are either black or hispanic) balking at my entrance into their city politics: "WHAT in the world is this crazy white woman doing running for City Council? She is NOT reprezentin'!" My only defense would be, "Well, uh, I'm not *completely* white...." Q: Which is worse, not voting or being an uninformed voter? |

| Fire-breather | A: Didn't know you had one. Though I instead looked at your public profile for this board, which then prompted me to look at my own pubilc profile, which made me realize it's painfully outdated. Q: Do people here actually look through other people's public profiles? |

I know I changed my spelling already, I type to fast and don't think about anything....I changed It. Thanks! A: I believe that "if" we do let these casinos in CA then will then have major conflicts with local gov't and state gov't. I don't think they are bad in a whole sense but i believe the CON's out number the PRO's. The only "PRO" I can think of is a little bit more money for the state and jobs. Anything else? Q: What do you think?

Q: If your reasoning is correct, doesn't that mean that local governments should never make money since the state government will always take it away?
