Looks like there are two questions posted at once, so I'll answer them both!

A: LilWahine, you're not the only white girl on this forum. I'm... well, I'm half! So there are at least 1.5 white girls here! That's more than one. Feel better?

A: JAMarquez, "carbs or no carbs" would depend on a few factors: body type, whether you're insulin intolerant or diabetic, and some other stuff I've probably forgotten. I would refine my answer to "no REFINED carbs". The vast majority of food in the U.S. has been processed to death. Crackers, cookies, snack cakes, practically ANYTHING with flour is chock full of non-nutritious processed carbs. Whole grains are GOOD carbs to have and you shouldn't cut them out. (Are you sorry you asked? I've been doing a lot of reading.)

Q: Do you pay attention to what you eat?

wow, what alot of detail, hahahaha, im sorry I even asked that question.

A: ummmm, Sometimes, I run and lift weights off and on and when I do i watch what i eat and when i don't i just let go and eat whatever.

Q: I'm really into politics and I will be running for office in the March 8th 2005 election, so please tell me why younger people who complain about gov't and politics don't do anything about it (or who want to change something)? I am.

A: Some students do. But most are too absorbed in their personal development to really care much about the outside world. We have to know who we are before we can know what we want the world to be like.

Q: What office are you running for?

A: HA ha, Yeah but they told me to go for it. I have alot people cheering me on and have told me many times they will help me. It will be an up-hill battle for me but I believe I can do it.

Q: Hey, Why don't YOU run for office as well? Maybe in your city? It will be fun to get involved in the political process

A: I don't think I'm cut out for it. I hate politics even though I have my personal views. I'm a bit too sensitive to withstand all the mudslinging that goes on. It's all about spin. The most qualified person will usually get beaten by the guy who has the best PR people. I can imagine the folks in Inglewood (where I currently reside, and where the vast majority are either black or hispanic) balking at my entrance into their city politics: "WHAT in the world is this crazy white woman doing running for City Council? She is NOT reprezentin'!" My only defense would be, "Well, uh, I'm not *completely* white...."

Q: Which is worse, not voting or being an uninformed voter?

hahaha I like that "WHAT in the world is this crazy white woman doing running for City Council? She is NOT reprezentin'!" " LOL

A: I will think an UNinformed voter is worst cause all they will do i listen to the TV to tell them what to vote for....Like Prop 68(yes) which CLAIMS Indians will pay 25% BUT it has NOTHING to do with Indian casinos...I'm voting NO on 68

A: Didn't know you had one. Though I instead looked at your public profile for this board, which then prompted me to look at my own pubilc profile, which made me realize it's painfully outdated.

Q: Do people here actually look through other people's public profiles?

a: Ok here is the REAL DEAL with 68......

If you Vote YES you will want NON-INDIAN CASINOS LIKE MGM, (LAS VEGAS CASINOS) TO COME INTO CALIFORNIA....

If you VOTE NO you DON"t WANT THIS TO HAPPEN.....

THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH 25% TAX ON INDIANS...."YES on 68" IS LYING ON THEIR TV SPOTS

VOTE NO ON 68

Q: Do you understand 68 now? or should i get into more detail?

A: What you spelled as "know" is actually spelled as "now". What you spelled as "are" is actually spelled as "or".

Q: Why do you assume that non-tribal casinos are bad?

I know I changed my spelling already, I type to fast and don't think about anything....I changed It. Thanks!

A: I believe that "if" we do let these casinos in CA then will then have major conflicts with local gov't and state gov't. I don't think they are bad in a whole sense but i believe the CON's out number the PRO's. The only "PRO" I can think of is a little bit more money for the state and jobs. Anything else?

Q: What do you think?

A: The conflict will be $$$$....If the state see's that Local Gov't are making LOT's of money from this(or these) Casino(s), they (the State) will reach in and grab a couple Million dollars from them. That's also why im voting YES on 1A States are taking so much money from local gov't that they are just working with pennies now. Thats why vital services are being cut eveytime in Local Cities.

Q: Did i answer your question?

A: Not really.

Q: If your reasoning is correct, doesn't that mean that local governments should never make money since the state government will always take it away?

A: I'm saying that the State Gov't SHOULD cool off in how much they should take away....plus cities are always going to make money and states are ALWAYS going to take as much as they want unless the people in these cities who need vital services like police, fire fighters, and Paramedics will stand up...which they are with other local leaders to encourge everyone to VOTE YES on 1A to limit the amount of money that will/is being taken from Local Gov't.

Q: What else do you need?

(steve you just need two more post for a 100 - )

Q: How will voting no on 68 cause the state to "cool off"?
