![]() | Profanities - Do YOU still use it? In the computer lab, I was disturbed at how annoying this one student was. He was loud when talking to his buddy and what disturbed me was that in every sentence that came out of his mouth, a profanity was the only adjective that he chose in his sentence. Shouldn't we, college students dropped profanity when we left high school? It makes the person appear immature and uneducated when they use profane word as an adjective in every sentences, imo. It is rare for a cuss word to slip out of my vocab. Maybe is just me.

| Fire-breather | I do find it interesting how some people use the F word as frequently as others use the word "like". I personally am not offended by it, but I wonder what causes people to talk like that in their everyday speech? The number of profanities that slip out of my mouth is directly proportional to how angry I am at the time. I normally limit myself to "damn" and "fricken" and people think I'm this nice person. So they are sometimes surprised when a colorful word slips out during the heat of a moment. But wow what a potty-mouth I turn into when no one is listening! ![]()

| Cal Poly Guru | It slips once in a while, but I have enough self-control to act like a decently educated person. And I do agree that it is bothersome to hear it.

![]() | ehh...when a girl uses profanity...ehhh As for me, i don't like speaking much so I make my sentences short by cutting out the bad words and adjectives. Now I feel funny when I cuss out loud...eeeek. I usually send the hate within. |

| Guru | I RRRRAAARRREEELLLLY ever cuss. RRRARRREELLLYYY. I have been raised well. Girl cussing: TURN ON only when she's involved in the proper activity ![]() TURN OFF any other time. I do not like ppl that cuss. Even stand up comedy disturbs me a little when its TOO much F word, like George Carlin or some Eddie Murphey. |
