Catholics do believe in going to heaven. In other words there is another life beyond this one that Catholics call eternal life. This is one of the aspects of Catholicism. When someone goes to heaven it means that they have achieved eternal life. Hopefully the Pope gets better. As for Terri Schiavo and Jonny Cochrain may they rest in peace.

JP, I am not seeing how making fun of the Pope in heaven is very funny. Then again, I shouldn't be surprised with you now should I...

Meg... i am not seeing how you can cheer up and make the most of the situation. Why stay sad? Why not a smile? YOU NEVER knew the pope... the only reason he got publicity lately was cuz of his health only.

btw... are you catholic?

It's not that I am sad (sorry, but it was only a matter of time before the Pope was going to meet God. I am not sure why so many people were so broken up. We had plenty of time to prep for last week). But anyway, my concern is more from a Catholic perspective: no need to be making fun of religion. I guess 12 years of Catholic school taught me to be a little over protective of religion, and the Pope, because he represents my religion.

Guess I was just a tad oversensitive that day.

The catholic religion is I think THE NUMBER ONE MOST CORRUPT, HYPOCRITICAL, AND EVIL religions I have ever seen, heard, and witnessed.

THIS is not making fun of you. THIS is just years of observations, accounts, and experiences.

"I guess 12 years of Catholic school taught me to be a little over protective of religion, and the Pope, because he represents my religion."

That's a very good thing meg. I too am defensive about my beliefs and faith.
