Angry Pop-Up Blockers

Who knows how to get pop-ups out of the way??

I get pop-ups when I surf. Any recommended popup blockers? Something free.

Send a message via AIM to ak
toolbar.google.com

Enable the advanced functions. It works better than retail ones..

Google Toolbar is an awesome program.
Also use Ad-Aware and SpyBot Search and Destroy (both free).

Mozilla Firebird http://www.mozilla.org/products/firebird/ is a completely free browser that comes with pop-up blocker and tab browsing. And it's faster and better than Internet Explorer.

Ooops.
Google Toolbar is an excellent program to block popups.
Ad-Aware and SpyBotSD finds and deletes spywares hidden in your pc.
Different programs but all recommended.

Mozilla Firebird released a new update --> Mozilla Firefox 0.8!
The reason for the name change was because an open source project with the name Firebird already existed and didn't want to interfere. Go download the best browser available at the moment: http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/

Mozilla

I downloaded this browser, and i like it. The problem is that I dont know how to use everything I was able to use with IE. I cant play videos that IE played in WIndows Media Player, for example, in launch.yahoo i used to see videos here, but i tried it using Mozilla, but it displayed some error. Somebodoy could explain me how to solve this? I am using windows XP Home Edition version 2002 Service Pack 1. I would appreciate your help.

socio13, I receive the same error using Firefox. I disabled the Pop-up blocker but that didn't seem to fix it. Must be a conflict with the mozilla conflict..

I went back to Internet Explorer and turned off Google Toolbar and the launch worked fine.

pop up blockers i use with my Norton 2k3.

also, adaware is for spyware, like kaycee said, its different from ad pop ups.

I've never heard of Firebird. Just Opera. But IE has the greatest compatibility with everything, thats y i still use it.

Dude, it is about plug-ins or stuff like that, that webpage directed me to download that stuff, but i did not donwloaded it because i have no idea which one do i need. I am not into computers, so i left that like it is.

The plug-in that the launch.yahoo page required was Netscape browser 4.7x or higher. Not sure why Internet Explorer seems to work fine and when Firefox and Safari browsers are more "advanced." And the error message does not direct the users to any plug-in information. Only good with I.E. like you said.
