Pepsi Lovers?

Starting February 1, 2004, every 1 out of 3 Pepsi 20 ounce drinks will have a code for a free iTune download.

Buy a 20oz Pepsi, get a winning code, you get to choose any one song and download it for free, using the code provided. Great marketing plan.
I'm going to stock up my fridge with Pepsi.

I saw the new ad on apple.com. Is right on the cover.

I'm a usual coke drinker but I'll convert to Pepsi during this promotion only.
Cool deal if you ask me.

Cool deal but would've been good if the 2-litters offered the promotion.

That would be so awesome. I bet you someone will attempt it.
But I also bet the Pepsi company has plan for prevention. But who knows.

Let's not talk about illegal activities here.
Great deal if you ask me. 1 out of 3 is a good odd. Buy a drink, choose a free download from over million songs.

$400 for Windows? Are you on crack? It's only about $150.

Do not worry Puffguts and lost-and-found, I found the answer for you guys.

"With the Tune Recycler, you can send us your unwanted iTunes bottlecap codes and we'll use them to support independent music. Easy for you, and good for musicians."

Yes, I can get Windows for $99 OEM, but why should I be required to shell out even that amt if my system works fine the way it is, and I don't see why they can't make iTunes work on 98, other than for the lack of control software that win xp is full of.

I went to a local supermarket somewhere in Los Angeles but I didn't find the new Pepsis. They had the regular Pepsi.
I'm going to check out the campus tomorrow.

I couldn't find a single bottle. Not even in Walmart.
Are they even doing this promotion in Southern California?

I visited the nearby Walmart which had its grand opening last week (http://www.calpolyforums.com/showthread.php?t=407) and they didn't carry the new iTunes Pepsi.

What kind of a promotion is this?
And I was about to convert from Coke to Pepsi for the time being...

Interesting article by Ilene Hoffman http://www.spymac.com/news/index.php?contentid= 42

"While the Internet is abuzz with Pepsi giving away millions of free songs from Apple's iTunes.com music store, I wonder if the real news lies elsewhere. It isn't quite a first for any company to give away millions of free product, McDonald's does it everytime a kid buys a Happy Meal. It isn't quite a big deal for Pepsi to do a major promotion either. It is a serious promotion for Apple to be involved with though. Previously, with the exception of mouse pads, posters, and scattered product given away to Macworld Expo attendees or to potential buyers at store openings, Apple has not participated in as large a venture as this latest promotion. Although it is interesting - that's still not the real news. I think the real story is that the Internet has truly arrived. "

Update: I still haven't seen one iTunes-Pepsi bottle in many local retailer.
Blah~ maybe Apple and Pepsi is targetting the urban-middle class neighborhoods.
