Looking to start a Cal Poly rock band...

Hey guys, My name John. I play guitar and am looking to start a band from member for cal poly. I play all types of music, such as punk and ska, and have heavy influences from bands like Face to Face, Goldfinger, Less Than Jake, Pennywise, Green Day, etc. If you play bass, drums, or are interested in singing, please let me know ASAP!

Umm..I can play the drums. I don't know any of those bands except Green Day.

Tell us how it goes with your band.

There is a Cal Poly Pomona Jazz Band, directed by Professor Dave Kopplin if you are interested.
The band is planning to perform this year either in Mexico or a Jazz Festival in Nevada, but is waiting for proper funding.

GremlinJMS, I noticed this is an old message but if you are still looking go post here: forum.cppmeisa.org . Its the message board for our local MEISA chapter. MEISA is the Music and Entertainment Industry Student Association. Also, in bulding 24 there are plenty of musicians hanging around the couches. Email or PM if you want more info.

This question is so random and the thread was over a year old but to answer your question, there is no official rock band on campus. And even if there were, it might be extremely difficult for an eleven year old student to get recruited in a college band.
