Question For how long can you use Intuit Quickbooks software?

Do you need to upgrade the Intuit Quickbooks software every year or can you purchase, let's say Quickbooks Pro 2004 and use if it for the next 2 to 3 years?

Contact Intuit about their product. I'm sure they'll respond via email fast.

Kellie says, Hello Kevin! Thank you for chatting with Intuit, the creator of Quickbooks. My name is Kellie, and I will be your business soutions provider. How may I help you today?
I say, Good morning, I have one question for you.
Kellie says, Sure, what can I do for you
I say, If I were to purchase Quickbooks Pro 2004, would I be able to use the software for the following 2-3 years, or would I need to upgrade to the next version (i.e. Quickbooks Pro 2005, etc.)
Kellie says, You are not required to upgrade every year. We do support up to 2 previous versions as well as the current version
I say, So if I owned the previous version of Quickbooks Pro, I would still be able to use the software for the business?
Kellie says, Correct
