I'd rather have them increase WiFi coverage before adding more workstations.

I would love to have WiFi coverage all the way to the student parking lot.

I've decent WiFi coverage where I usually park my car (in front of CLA)

The places where I miss WiFi would be bldg 3, 8 and 9... and maybe the student center.

So far PARKING!!!!!! god i hate the parking.

I use to ride my bike to school because i could park fairly close to the building and there was plenty of bike parking and it only cost me $15 a quarter for the bike permit. It seems that they have taken most of that out.

I thought that they were going to add lockable parking spots near the CLA building where the old motorcycle parking had been previously.

At least they have added some car parking, last year I missed a few classes because I could not find a parking space in the car.

And professors that feel so superior to the students that they either cant be bothered to be asked questions or expect the students to already know how to do things on the first try.

But I must admit, the quality of the female students have gone up considerably this year. Or my standards have gone down.

More PC workstations.

Lot of cliches (spelling?). Fraternity with fraternity only. Sorority with sorority only. Not sure but seems like it.

And parking. I am so close to getting myself a motorcycle.

Or is this part of the new plan?
And new workstations in each floor.
I totally agree with you on this one KayCee. Our library is so old and doesn't have enough books. I have this friend of mine in liberal art major. One time she was doing a research but she couldn't find the materials she needed for the project.
Instead, she went to Pasadena City College's library to get the stuff and finish it up. How sad! Seems like a JC has more books than we do!!!

Lightbulb List lame things at school

Lame:

There is only one place I found on campus that is good for getting breakfast.

Library - 6 floors and feels like there is nothing there but a lot of space

No cell phone service in building 3

Losing the X (103.9 FM, KCXX) on my way to school is pretty lame

Parking (I know I'm like the 10th to say that, lol)

Buildings 8 and 3 (they scare me, like they are going to fall apart or something

8 am MAT 214 class (shouldn't let commuters take 8 am classes if they are going to be there until 6, lol)

Some professors office hours. Especially if they fall during a time slot where you have classes and you cant get to their office hours.

Those new service vehicle spots that were taken from the students on University

10% tuition raises

But the ducks are cool

Plus the grass on the main squad area. Only a small part of the quad area is real grassy and the rest of the lawn exposes too much soil.
Not enough benches and sits inside and outside of a classroom. Very limited especially inside any building.

OK Lame thing Number 1!
CAL POLY FOUNDATION...they run the restarants with the exception of Panda. The also run the village and a few other things. The take the students money and never give back to the school. The Foundation is a non-profit, but the way they keep from having profits is by giving upper management huge bonuses for ripping off the students. Case and point: the village rasing rent for no reason and Brenda smiling wider all the time.

Other things that suck at Cal Poly:
Bronco Number (Who is gonna remember that crap)
Parking Nazis writing tickets all the time
No Bridge yet at the train tracks. (I've been stuck there so many times)
Problems with Voice Response (I'm glad they are getting rid of it)

A bridge?, you mean the train tracks on temple? I think that's a bit excessive, unecessary, and a waste of money just because you don't want to wait 5-15 minutes because the train beat you there.

Pomona already has the plan to build a bridge there. There are bridges at less traveled streets like monte vista at arrow. Traffic has been known to back up a lot longer then 15 minutes. Esp since the gate malfunctions every once in a while and people have to end up taking the 71 to the 10w to Kellog to get to school.

It is good city design to have a bridge. Yes the train has a purpose( to transport goods efficiently). But the train should not create traffic problems. Once temple backs onto the 57 it is ridiculous.

I forgot to Add. Cal Poly has the worst Math department in the area, maybe the state, and possibly the nation

1.) Parking: It's a POS. My record is about 50 mins. to get a parking.
1a.) Amount paid for parking: 80 something for POS parking?
2.) Food: The food places in the new student center are horrible. Carl's JR. is okay but gets old fast. Panda Xprss is a rip off.
3.) Campus Activity: Commuter campus = no fun. Check out www.cppmeisa.org
4.) Getting into classes: Just sucks, need i say more?
5.) Campus concerts: Cal Poly Pomona MEISA intends to fix that.
6.) Shuttle Buses: Serve not one useful purpose. Unless you are handicapped the shuttle buses are a waste. They don't save time. You waste twice as much time as you would hope to save. It's not like they would help in the rain because you have to wait forever in the rain just for one bus to come by anyway. The only thing good about them is that they look nicer than the old trams, which were fun, but still useless.

Thats about all i can think about for now.
