High on list for engineering employers

My friends dad works for Agilent and said that Cal Poly SLO is on of their most preffered schools for prospective employees. I think its Poly's "hands on, learn by doing philosophy" means a lot. Its rated as one of the best undergraduate engineering schools.
That RC helicopter project is a good example. It looks really neat, and I am really exited to get started there! I am only a junior level tranfer, so I have yet to do much of my core classes(for ME), but I think other schools have more on paper stuff and less hands on. I really don't know, anyone that could add some input? Also, I heard that the hands on aspect doesn't take away from the scientific theory, they are stong in both areas.

Police on campus (not parking nazis) are very nice and generally hands off unless you are doing something really illegal like stealing a car or raping someone.

Nice Scenery and landscaping

Being on a Hill is good for your health. People need more exercise.

Lots of computer labs
