I registered as an absentee voter so I have to mail in my ballot by today. I was looking at all the measures last night and thought I felt confident about how to vote on 73, 74, 75, and 80, until I read more about them online!

I feel I'm not the only one who may be confused on the "issues", so I posted some online links that will give you a "quick" synopsis of the measures AND the thoughts of those qualified to side on the issues (because many of these measures just don't affect me directly):

I appreciate the informative thread Sweetyb. I also encourage each one of you to step it up and make sure every vote is counted. Get opinions from your family members, colleagues, friends, and read articles from different political parties. Most importantly, figure out for yourself why the proposition should be voted off No or Yes.

One political option to take: Vote No on all propositions.

Reasons: A lot of reasons why this special election was called for was because the legislative branch did not pass a lot of measures the governor wanted, so he decided to take it to the people and have them decide. That is all fine and dandy, but couldn't most of it wait a year? Couldn't it wait a year for the millions of dollars this will cost?

The last special election cost ~$30 million dollars (the one that put the governor in office.) The state refused to reimburse the counties. Local governments are paying for these state matters.

I do not know if i will take this stand, but it's a reasonable option to protest the happenings. On the other hand, its water on the bridge - and we shouldn't know and complain about it - but move on and vote for how we view.

Hey guys... I was curious to know what the results were, so here they are:

They were pretty much all "no" votes. Sometimes, it takes a "no" vote to take a stand, even though the whole election may not have been desired in the 1st place. I guess Arnold was hoping for us to stay at home, but we showed up in large numbers. Can't wait for the next elections! lol
