I found it funny and wouldn't mind playing with it.
But if I am an African-American, I would be angry and offensed.

Wonder if Redneckopoly is going to be released after the small controversy.

The African-American leaders got angry because the game was ridiculing their race and lifestyles.. You guys remember the Chinese logos on Abercrombie shirts?

Today's society, everyone has pride in their race, gangs, religions, and etc... they do anything to defend their pride.

Personally I am against the game, since it only focus on the negatives aspects of the inner city neighborhood and make fun out of the African Americans that most likely live there.

However, David Chang (the game's maker) claims he made the game and based on the material presented on MTV / BET programs, such as certain shows with Snoop Dogg (is it one g or two gs?) glorifying living in "da ghetto, gangsta sty'le." More and more rap songs nowdays feature rapers rhyming out of the phrase "chillin' in da ghetto," "pimpin' da ho," "bust n dust da cops," "dealin' da crack" or things like "phat ghetto mansion." NAACP and other african american organizations never denounced the mass media, African American rappers rapping about 'da ghetto' or 'pimpin' da ho'. If I remember correctly, the "black image award" (I forgot the exact name of it) went to a rapper who raps about "In Da Hood with my bros, pimpin' da hos." If that doesn't qualify for degrading I don't know what does. Yet NAACP and other African American orgs start to suit David Chang for creating bad image for African Americans (I agree David Chang has done a terrible thing, more on that later) yet endorses that rapper... isnt that double standard?

Now many African American-run radio stations in the philadelphia area are launching "revenge" offensives against the Asians and Asian immigrants, based on a single Asian immigrant's wrong-doing. Radio hosts started to talk about a possible "chinkpoly." They asking all listeners to dial in and let others know what they don't like about Asians or Asian immigrants. Hundreds called and basicly said "Asians hate Africans more than Caucasians ever does." "Asians come to our neighborhood, make money and never give back" "Asians have weird customs and are pagans (I have no idea where that one comes from)" They then started mimicking Asian accents, talking about the "ugly yellow skin (I can hardly believe a minority group would go this low, considering past oppressions against them based on skin color)," and their "weird pulled eyes." Hatred filled the airwave in the wake of GhettoPoly.

Hmm... does anyone realized that the African American "civil rights" groups seem to have fanned up more hatred toward the Asians in general because a single Asian's stereotype due to the image in the mass media (MTV, BET). In my opinion, as long as NAACP endorse those rappers who sings about "bust n dust da cops" or living gloriously in "ghetto mansion", they have no right to denounce anyone else from making such comments.

There is a difference between Asians being outraged about the Abercrombie shirts and African American civil rights group going crazy at Ghettopoly.

Asians don't have rappers who rap about commiting felony offense such as prostitute pimping, crack dealing, cop killing, being a "gangsta" and "Cruizin' da hood in phat ride wit my Uzi (a submachine gun) at da door". African American groups who usually support rappers with the above lyric now are against Ghettopoly, which is nothing more than a Cliffnotes about rap culture.

I just wish more African Americans to start denouncing degratory lyrics in today's rap songs. Those songs helped David Chang to create Ghettopoly, and with it comes hatred that will lead to many terrible things yet to come.

MTV and BET To support more trash please.

That is unlikely to happen.
African American rappers and their "thug" lifestyle is the source of great business for the business world. Imagine our culture without those images.

The whole [gangsta, thugz, whatever you want to call it] lifestyle evolves around the teenager and young adult category.
Rap music has a large percentage of CD sold in the United States.
Apparel brands are a huge market.
Party pills and marijuana is also popular among the group.
Chrome dubs and other accessories on SUV and what not.

It is not only a lifestyle, it is an industry. Why stop when money comes your way.
