Dungeons and Dragons

When I was in high school I played semi-weekly with a group of buddies and rather enjoyed it. Since I started going to CP (and most of my gaming buddies moved out of state) I haven't been playing. There's also that little stigma about it, you know; its not a bad thing to be a bit nerdy, but sometimes I get the feeling like talking about DnD in public is still crossing some sort of line.

In fact, I'm already feeling embarrassed about starting this thread.

Anyhoo, does anyone here play DnD or other pencil and paper RPGs? I'm told that its a common thing on most university campuses... or does Cal Poly's mostly commuter nature have an effect on that too?

I was a Final Fantasy RPG fan (not sure if it counts) back in junior high and high school days. Played through VI, VII, VIII, and X.
I stopped after X (phew) and didn't go near XI (the online MMORPG).

I enjoyed every minute playing FF7. 8 was great.
I should give 9 a try if I could get my hands on a Playstation 2.
